any advised on how to release the water pressure inside the waste pipe work to fix a leak?

Carefully, with a big bucket! Maybe drill a hole in the old pipe before then draining down and replacing.

But how do you drain down the macerator when it's full and blocked????

First try and run the pump - it could be the capacitor that has failed (replace it) or could be the pressure switch not working (short across it to manually turn on the pump). Failing that I would suggest getting any separate water pump to pump out the tank.

@@comeinhandynow drained it down with wet vac. Blades blocked with unmentionables. Up & running again. Thank you.

The relevant bit copied here: The new part that I changed to on this unit was this: ebay.us/jwXB65 This part was for a dishwasher but the specification was very nearly the same as the original part in this supermax toilet macerator unit - turning on at 35mBar air pressure and turning off at 17mBar, hence it was marked 35/17. Saniflo toilet macerator pumps are similar I believe. Make sure you get a part that has the same appearance, not ones that use electronics and work at lower voltages.
