I was having the same problem. I gave my ps a deep clean. There was loads of dust collect behind the eject button/sensor I cleaned all that out it seems to have worked

I didn't have to do this all that I did was take a small screwdriver in the bottom of the eject button lift it up just a tad little bit burley and it hasn't rejected my dis sense. oh you have to remove the plastic thing that's up under it to do it and then you can put the plastic thing back on.

Sergio Juarez I thought mine didn’t either, but if you look where the screws are in the video, you will see that there’s black tape over it where they should be that says “Warranty void if seal removed/broken”. It’s a bit hard to pull it off, but once you remove it you’ll be able to see the screws. Be careful tho bc removing it will obviously void your warranty so don’t take it apart if you don’t want to do that. Good luck!

Mine doesn’t make a bunch of sounds. It states that the game is in there but when I try to reject it it does not come out and then it just shows a disk not inserted. Pretty sure my kid did some damage switching discs out when I was sleeping

I did remove the rubber piece - but unfortunately, it didn't work. It randomly spat out the disc. So I am placing it back in and said screw it...... I might as well bring it in for service I am done to about a little more than a month left (1 month, a week and a day based on 11/18/2017). Afterwards, it will be out of warranty and that I would be forced to buy myself a PS4 Pro. Actually, the only way I fixed it was to add some rubber feet of my own or stack two discs - but even so that the eject button doesn't work. They might as well give me a new console since I doubt that they would be making more of those older models.

It doesn't work that way. They would only do a recall if the console becomes too hazardous (for instance if it explodes or that it could create a fire).

I know its a lot of money, it is for me too. But all the previous playstations were much more expensive on release. And if this is the only problem you have with it, it's not that bad. Another option to avoid bending that metal tab is to put some tape in between to stop the connection.

It's what makes contact with the eject sensor when you press the button. Sometimes it just gets stuck sending the 'eject' signal 24/7.
