Wow..... I was aware of the noise issue, and in fact, it kept me away from buying a DM12 D. I was not aware that the solution was this simple. Thank you so much!

This fixed the problem man!!! Deepmind don't whine no more... The top right screw on the oscillator PCB was loose and not in contact with the copper ring below it. My ears were still trying tell me that the phantom whine still exists because I have lived with it for 4 years and finally my ears are brain did forget after playing it for half an hour. Thank you very much!!

My DM12 is fine. The only noise I get is when the fans are on. Doesn't really bother me. I turn them off when recording, and the noise goes away. In fact, I usually leave them off most of the time, except in the summertime if it's exceptionally hot or under stage lighting. Good to know that the fix for your issue is super easy! Behringers QA seems to have come on in leaps and bounds in recent years I'm happy to say. Cheers ✌️

Love my DM12D. I don’t have this issue, there is some noise but it is quite low. My noisiest synth (setup is a Fantom 6 (with EX upgrade), Hydrasynth module, DM12 module, Peak and Moog Subsequent 37) is my Novation Peak, which seems to be by design and is patch dependent. It can sometimes be remedied by gain staging such patch. However, since I nowadays run all my FX through my iPad Pro, I can use the Brusfri plugin, which gets rid of 99% of my noise. Yeah… I’m decluttering and selling most of my other synths and FX boxes. The FX plugins for iPad are getting better and better and aren’t expensive. No PC DAW for me, too much hassle keeping it updated, but running kinda hybrid with an iPad works for me. Cheers man, I’m glad you’re regularly posting video’s again as I quite enjoy them.

Peak is noisy since it’s has so many gain stages in it.

I have that horrible high pitched whiny noise on the master outputs and the headphone out is unusable because of this. Workaroud is I dip notch 6Khz, 12Khz and 18.1Khz. Thanks for this. I will open up the unit soon.

Has anyone done this on a Deepmind w/ keyboard? Can’t find any info when browsing.. Tried to unscrew but can’t seem to get it to open up like in this video
@ArcenyHax2 ай бұрын
I have a couple weeks ago. You have to unscrew the sides first, then unscrew the katxhes holding the top part down and it should fold back.

Thanks! Ill have to try this on my DM12 keyboard

Did u get it to work? Can’t really get mine to open up like he did in this video!
@Agerian72 ай бұрын
@@davidkontra474 Yes it worked! Take off the sidecheeks, remove the back row of screws like in this video (about 6 I think). Where you took of the sidecheeks there is 1 on screw holding the top part (where all the sliders are) on each side. Should then open up and you can follow the video.

Are you familiar with the MonoPoly audio bleed issue? You can hear some sound when no notes are being played/VCA is closed. I don’t own one but I’ve heard it on another KZbinr’s MonoPoly. I think there’s a fix for that too. Maybe something for a future video.

Interesting, my unit seems very quiet when vca is closed.
