I think half knowledge nutritionist are more dangerous then the bad food itself. The clarity and set idea ( which aren’t obviously right) they navigate is beyond belief. I think she needs to learn how the respiration works and equally co2 is also so important in better absorption for oxygen. People struggle with Asthama and shortness of breath are asked to breath in a bag so they can inhale their own co2 for breathing to become normal. Just a sweeping remark that co2 makes your body acidic isn’t justified. Either you touch a topic or you don’t. Natural sparkling as are so good it improves your breathing and oxygen absorption straight away. Balances your acidity. And hydrates your body better. This knowledge she need to revise and check what the current science says. Lard isn’t that bad, much better then refind oil other transfat. Mayonnaise is bad, when poor quality oil is used. A good quality egg if belended with some top notch cold pressed oil isn’t bad. Whole idea is delay sugar release in the body which simple carbs may cause, have a salad before or mix 30% rice with 50% veggies and 20% thick dal. Add ghee it also delays sugar realease. A prcall cooked rice have low glycemic index then freshly cooked rice. Eat Atleast 5 whole veggies as salad usually 100 Gms each 5 unit fruits each days without fail. And eat what ever you want after wards if you still hungry. Weekly include nuts, seeds, fish eggs etc 2 times for making up for protein. Have. Good thick bowl of lentils a day. Enjoy life eat a gulab jamun once in a while and move.
