I used to be one of those "I'll start Monday" people but by Monday afternoon I would have had a doughnut and said well I may as well give up. 😅 But removing those excuses and those mental blocks have made the difference. 🥰

As im slowly losing weight, I've learned to build a better relationship with food. To not feel guilty when I decide to have a treat and to feel good about the healthy food im able to nourish my body with. Also, changing my perspective when it came to working out too. I just tell myself to 'move my body'. Walking was always my go to💜 that plus a good old school r&b mix was heaven for me..great for the mental too. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Dr. Nina! 💜

Yesterday, I was gifted a small box of macarons as a “Thank You” for helping someone. For the first time in a LONG time, I ate every single one of those macarons (5 in all) and felt no guilt or remorse. In fact, when my son asked me about it, I said, “Yep! They were mine. I ate them all and I’m proud of it.” Just 1 month ago, that would have never happened. I would have probably shamed myself for eating just one, but after watching your videos (which are so inspirational btw), I now see things in a new light. I was so relieved when you said “If I’m at a party, and they have cake, ya girl is gonna have some cake!” when for too many years all I heard was “Willpower! Be strong!” Thank you for your channel and all of the content you’re posting to help others. It’s REALLY helps! If I never lose a pound, at least now I can indulge once in a while and not feel an ounce of regret. Thank you! ❤️

Thank you so much much love sister. I stopped eating red meat, pork and most bread. I'm 55 and my body still has issues. I walk a lot. Thanks I do need to workout more. I take one month a year with no meat. I hope to do it four times a year.

Out of sight, out of mind is the key for me.. How do I get my husband to stop bringing unhealthy food and snacks in the home? And how do I get him to stop eating those tempting foods and snacks around me?

When he eats tempting snacks around you just grab a piece of fruit or a low calorie snack. You’ll feel so good that you didn’t indulge. Having low calorie fun snacks are key.

I fell off right around Thanksgiving and I feel like crap. My HS is acting up and mentally, I just don’t feel my best. I’ve been eating ALL the sweets- I’m talking cupcakes, CAKE cake, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, doughnuts, you name it. I gained around ten pounds in less than a month. I’m sad, but I’m not giving up. Pray for me, y’all. 🙏🏽💛

I intermittent fast 16/8💃 Drink Plenty Of Water❤️ Weight Training 3 Days per week 🏋️ Cardio/Jump Rope/HIIT 2 Days Per Week 🤸 Also, I purposely park in the farthest spot and walk to my destination, plus take stairs vs elevator 👣 Meal Performance=Vegan and I portion control my cheat meals🤗

I have found the perfect eating plan that I used over 20 years ago. Through children and the ex things got very crazy. I then remembered the plan that allowed me to eat carbs. I found the book and started it. Now I'm down 16 pounds. I have about 5 more pounds to go. This eating plan takes my pounds off. Everybody has to find the right eating plan for them. Just like Dr. Nina found what works for her.

I love the tip about ordering groceries to be ready when you come back from a trip. Me and my boyfriend travel frequently sometimes multiple times a month and whenever we come back we were always eating out for a week until the next weekend when we grocery shop. Now we do hello fresh to keep us on track so we save money from eating out and are making healthier choices!

I did put work outs off, but grumbled when I hit a plateau....yet I got up, got on it and the yo-yoing stopped and I broke it! Another thing I noticed was the high sodium content in foods, so far, my cupboard was good to me. I wanna try the plank taps you did in this video, lol.
