Is your dynamic contrast set to high, If so turn it off or lower it. Also turning off Eco mode will increase brightness if not done so already. Have not messed with game mode so don't know if this stuff applies.

I turned off Dolby Atmos off on my LG C7 tv during Okja, because my receiver doesn't support it. If you leave it on you get stereo sound, when turned off you get 5.1 surround sound.

I know that I'm going to get crucified for this but I just returned my C7 to the store and brought home the Sony X900E... I found the pink to blue tint gradation on the the LG unacceptable as I use my TV as a computer monitor, and on white backgrounds this uniformity issue really bothered me. Also I found the upscalling and motion control to be unacceptable as well. Soft OTA, 1080P and 720P just doesn't cut it for me. And 'judder-like' effect due to perfect motion (now that makes sense) also really bothered me. But the LG has fantastic blacks, (not so great near-blacks) and lots of HDR and sound options... As a calibrator I found it difficult to get the near-blacks properly viable. TV's good for dim rooms watching 4K only content that preferably has no motion. Lol... Sorry, but I just got sooo frustrated with the overall performance of this TV for my needs. I guess I was expecting more than deep black... Oh yeah, and the burn-in is a definite no-go with a computer used as a sole source.

Vince. The B7 will output Dolby Atmos over HDMI ARC on Netflix and Vudu but I haven't tried Amazon. This comment was edited from previously when I thought it could not do atmos with Netflix

bob jones actually I was completely mistaken in my previous comment. When I picked up the B7 it does HDMI ARC Atmos with nearly every major streaming app. There's a glitch with the Netflix Atmos where you have to start the show with TV speaker selected then switch it back to HDMI ARC output during the show and then it will output Atmos nicely

I actually done that by mistake I was playing Okja from TV speaker then thought I would connect bluetooth to my surround sound speakers which are actually in a different room to the TV just to hear how it sounded and It was pretty cool it would chop and change sounds from one side to another. i have the Lg oled77 g16 Just noticed an issue of the inbuilt Netflix app Dolby vision content flags the banner up in the top corner to let you know that the content is infact Dolby vision,yet any uhd 4k content i select doesnt throw up the HDR banner. Amazon, Plex and KZbin footage both show therr respective content which the banner confirms,just not Netflix. Do you know why?

Hi I have just bought a LG 55B7V and I have a Humax Fox T2 PVR and although I can play both audio and Video via HDMI on all my other TV's, for some reason I can only see the video on the LG 55B7V and no Audio. I have tried different HDMI leads directly to the LG and also via my Onkyo 676. Do you know of any fix for this, I guess that the Humax Codec is not compatible with the LG. I have contacted LG and Humax without any success. Please can you advise.

I have a Yamaha 2070 running two Definitive Technology 9080 towers and the center Def Tech 9080. I have an LG OLED77G7P tv. The Dolby Atmos comes out of the tv fine when I am watching Netflix directly out of the tv. When I watch Netflix on xfinity cable, the audio comes out 5.1. When I turn on the receiver to listen to Dolby Atmos when watching Netflix coming straight out of the tv, the audio from the channel the xfinity box is on plays on the receiver, not what is coming out from Netflix. When I play Netflix coming from the xfinity box, the audio only comes out in 5.1, it does not have Dolby Atmos. Did I connect something wrong? I have the xfinity box connected to the hdmi AV1 on the receiver and I have the tv connected to the ARC hdmi on the receiver. I am going to change the xfinity box to the XG1v4 box to see if that fixes things. What do you think?

Hi! I got B7V and the I have a terribly inconsistent wifi speed on the TV. I have a router 2 meters away from my TV and I'm getting barely 1Mbps of speed. I have an optical cable with 100Mbps and all my other wifi devices in the room get 30-50 Mbps speeds. The watching of Netflix in 4K is really a hit and miss affair. Do you know if this is the case with all B7 TVs or did I possibly get a faulty one? Thanks for any info! Cheers

file1man 1 second ago about to get lg b7a $2300 black fri best buy, but not for game mode. I game 2 hours per nite on 3 of 144mhz 1080p monitors, 1080 sli gpu so lg will be for youtube, netflix, amazon prime movies & shows. Sony 930 is my 2nd choice. have most lg problems,ie Okja, yellow banding, been solved. Have $5K stereo system so the c7 atmos is not needed for c7"s extra $400 over b7a. does b7a still have problems to make sony 930 a better choice.

DFKnightmare I got it to work! Here's how: You need to go to a computer log in to your Netflix go click on account go down MY PROFILE click on PLAYBACK SETTINGS and choose HIGH best video quality 3GB click on SAVE log out of NETFLIX on the LG C7 then log back in now choose the movie OKJA press play and VOILA! Dolby Vision and DOLBY ATMOS!!!

Deva Maria I got it to work by enabling TV Speakers + Sound Out and just turning the sound all the way down on the TV. This way I get Atmos and can hear it through my AV system instead.

That setup is really weird. Only with TV Speakers + Sound out the Atmos logo appears in the Netflix App. However the output is set to PCM (greyed out) and my Denon AVR will not play Atmos (or Dolby Digital) but only Dolby Surround by the upmixer. So I cannot get any Atmos stream to my AVR. Once I change back to Optical out only the AVR changes to DD right away but the Atmos logo now disappears in the Netflix App.

Hi Vincent. Many people on AVSForums are saying that with the latest firmware, and latest KZbin updates, that HDR content from KZbin is "broken". Have you been able to compare the built in KZbin app to say a Chromecast Ultra connected via HDMI (for example, the LG Chess HDR clip)?

Not sure what size you want. But the 55UJ7700 is around that price and will support Dolby Vision. The 55SJ8500 is currently $1299, but that has better technology and gives better black levels and color accuracy.

Stats for nerds, love that..... I do seem to get the correct stats when using the app on the TV, what’s frustrating though is if I use the KZbin app via my Virgin V6 box, the 4K video plays but doesn’t seem to be the correct stats, and I don’t get the HLG HDR pop up. This is quite frustrating as everything runs through my Onkyo then to the TV, so if I use the app on the TV, I’m not getting sound. Any workaround for this? I cant unfortunately feed another cable back from TV to the amp...... Oh, and please come and calibrate my TV boss!!

mrjaffa1013 I presume that your Onkyo system supports ARC? If so then have you got the HDMI cable plugged into the correct port on the TV - the one that outputs ARC! Then you should get audio passed back to your Onkyo when using the KZbin App on the TV.

Hi Vincent. I just got my LG B7A Delivered Yesterday 😁 I tried the NetFlix update and played the movie "Okja" but as it started playing, not "Dolby Atmos" Shows up. I do have a newer version firmware 03.60.16 I also checked to see if my TV had Dolby Atmos and it does. Dolby Atmos is checked off and so is "Smart Sound Mode. Any reason why i dont see Dolby Atmos showing up when i play "Okja" On updated NetFlix? Thanks for your response, in advance.

Think only the B7P decodes Atmos internally, the B7A doesn't, that's why the latter is cheaper.

I was about to buy the C7 only for the Added Dolby Atmos Sound support which the B7 is said not to have on LG's website. But you showed us that even the B7 can have Atmos sound. Is there any reason to buy the C7 over the B7 now?

This is the UK and European version of B7 which has Dolby Atmos. The B7A, which is available in North America only, doesn't have Dolby Atmos decoding I believe.

The b7 Netflix app seems inferior to the Xbox version. Or maybe it's just how I have HDR settings turned-on but Dolby vision mode resets to default all the annoying features like frame injection, eye "friendly" color. "Auto contrast" and the MPEG artifact filter - which I feel makes the problem worse. All these features are good if you're viewing garbage but really annoy me.

Hi Vincent, how do you get the atmos signal out to an external decoder (via ARC). i have a 2017 C7 and an AVR550 - it does not switch to atmos when I watch Okja. Any clues?

Make sure that SIMPLINK is on. Go to settings, audio, and you should see an option to turn it on or off.

What about Dolby Atmos support on the Lg OLED B6?? What about the Dolby Vision game mode on the B6? What about the technicolor and HLG support on the B6? This expensive tv is only one year old? Do you know more about these updates HDTVTEST?

Please be realistic. The B6 uses a 2016 chipset that doesn't support Dolby Atmos decoding or Technicolor HDR. Technology advances. Your question is analogous to asking why the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone doesn't support new features on the S8 such as mobile HDR.

This is simply frustrating. Paying a load of money for a tv which becomes absolute a year later. Don't think that's fair at all. There is a reason why customers (2016 OLED owners) are starting a petition. Even you advised not long ago to buy the LG 2016 models because of their quality.

Does the screen have a yellow tint when Dolby Vision is turned on? My TV does that in Netflix.

Check your picture modes when DolbyVision is enabled. Cinema modes usually have a brown/yellow tint.

Anyone else notice that hdr game mode on the C7 is too dark/dim? I understand that the peak brightness on Oled's isnt the greatest but man, after owning the Sony x900e and switching to the C7 I am disappointed with the game mode hdr. Its dim and the bright lights in a game like Wipeout or Horizon dont show up like on my last tv. The picture quality is better on the oled but the hdr effect just isnt what it should be. Anyone experience this? Think LG might be able to update and fix this? Ive got a few days to exchange the tv at best buy and I'm considering going back to a Sony, pissibly the 930/940 to get that hdr back because its something I value highly for gaming.

about to get lg b7a for $2300 black fri best buy, but not for game mode. I game 2 hours per nite on 3 of 144mhz 1080p monitors, 1080 sli gpu so lg will be for youtube, netflix, amazon prime movies & shows. Sony 930 is my 2nd choice- did you return your LG?
