How to Get Rare Islands! | Animal Crossing | I Tried This Viral Reddit Trick to See if it Works! Does Animal Crossing New Horizons hint how to get rare islands? I tried it but I didn’t see that it was the delight action you’re supposed to use, but I got the bamboo island which is really good because of the stupid water bugs. It’s the best place to get tarantulas really fast in my opinion.

You opinion is correct! lol except, if you get there and you are plagued by the mole crickets. Then you have to dig around to find them! As you can tell it didn't give me any awesome islands but the second time around it definitely gave me bamboo island. I'll keep trying this out and see if I start noticing that I get bamboo island more often! if you find out more information be sure to come back and let me know!

Yeah then Nintendo nerfed the bugs its annoying to get mole crickets too . I use to love to hunt bugs and fish now I dont much anymore .

It also has to do with the tool you’re holding before you enter the airport. When I used a watering can I got fruits that weren’t native to my island and a bunch of rare flowers (These examples were throughout multiple islands) I haven’t tried with many other tools but the gist is that different perks correspond to different tools. It doesn’t work 100% of the time though

I’ve went back and tried it a few more times and it seems to be no luck for me... but I’ve seen where it’s as if people get better things more often, such as diy recipes if there aren’t any good fishing or great fishing but no rare island. I am probably always going to do it for good measure from now on, just in case it helps!!

For anyone wondering it still works in 2023 I was trying so many times without watching this video and it didn’t work but when I used the tips on this video I got peaches which are not native to my island (I was also holding a watering can before I went to the airport)

I saw this hack on tiktok last night then tried it a few minutes ago and it just sent me to sea bass island! So either the hack works some of the time and not all of the time or it was just a coincidence. This was my first time at sea bass island btw

I'm really not sure at this point! I mean, the second time it sent me to Bamboo island but 2/3 were the normal average islands, nothing special. I am gonna keep trying this out to see if it works next time that I go travelling. Reply back and let me know if you try it again and where it sends you? I'm kinda wondering if there is some sort of math behind it and it gives you like a 10% boost or something?

This did work for my mom and I, we got the bamboo island when using the watering can. The hybrid flower island has been deleted by Nintendo, but we're hoping for a nonnative fruit island

Angela Zuniga-Jones now that’s interesting. I’ve heard about having to hold the watering can when walking into the airport but not what you said. I’ll have to give this a try! So far, everything that I’ve tried is a hit or miss at this point. How you had very good luck by doing this trick? Any cool islands?

Angela Zuniga-Jones please let me know what you find out! I’ve also seen where it’s given certain things! For example, look for diy bottles instead of fruit or flowers. It may at least give you some little prize if not an entire rare island

1upPHIL when I tried it today with five nook miles tickets I didn’t really notice a difference and I didn’t seem to get better items than I normally do. Might just be a hit or miss thing or maybe I did something wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

If I had to get the island with the bamboo plants there, I wouldn't miss the opportunity of getting some bamboo shoots! You can either plant them on your island or you can craft with them, or simply just eat them.

1upPHIL i was able to get it to work once today and I took 4 mystery island trips. But I think it could’ve just been a coincidence. A lot of people are saying that depending on the tool you’re holding when you go into the airport raises the chances of a rarer island.

I was able to get shark 🦈 Island with this, didn't know it was shark island until I saw the fish in the ocean with he fins showing up on the surface was like "is that a shark?? No way???" So I pulled out my fishing rod and I went to catch it sure enough first thing I catch was a hammerhead shark then I caught whale sharks, great white sharks, the sucker fishs and a saw shark. I donated first to the museum any extras I sold for bells and you get 15k bells for a whale shark.
