I used to think I had no wrinkles to bother about. So aside from AHA 8% I really have been sticking to cleaning and moisturizing. Most important to me is diet and exercize FIRST. No processed food and no sugar or fast carbs... help with no skin issues, absolutely. Now in my 70s I have purchased my first month of OTC retinol to help with sun spots. A month into it the intensity of the color is lighter and the boundaries of the larger spot are regressing. Not expecting to see them gone for a year or 2...with big questions about sunscreen actually eliminating sun exposure in the mountains in summer. I guess hike as early as possible and wear actual face covering, not just a large hat...and face covering eliminates the issue of a white layer from zinc oxyde, you can have both! Spending the most time possible in nature is a first priority along with strictly fresh food.

Hey Andrea. You have helped me out so much in keeping my skincare routine simple. I suffer with rosacea and have for years. I'm 41 years old and only 6 months ago I finally figured out how to keep my rosacea under control and how to figure out the right treatments for my skin condition. My doctor finally had me referred to a dermatologist so hopefully I will hear back soon. I'm currently using fineaca azelaic acid along with mirvaso. Night time I'm using rozex along with soolantra all prescribed by my doctor for now until I see the dermatologist. You have been a great help and Thankyou for taking your time and dedication in helping us viewer's get the help we need and sticking to a good skincare routine and giving us good information on what skincare's to use and avoid. And always I sunscreen and subscribed. Sending thanks and blessings to you from Northern Ireland UK 🇬🇧♥️

I love all the tips in this video! I’m someone who struggled with horrible skin texture, specifically on the sides of my cheeks, for years! I was always trying something new to treat it, and wondering why it never worked, until I finally took your advice and went back to the basics, I discontinued use of adapalene because it was causing too much dryness, and bam, my texture went away just like that!! 😅 I’ve been focusing a lot on hydration and don’t typically use actives anymore, and I finally have clear skin, my barrier has just been damaged all these years 😂

Love the color Dr. Dray. I am so happy with my routine. As I am in France, I have very inexpensive tretenoin 0.05% . At night, after a double cleanse, I put on Timeless CoQ 10 serum, then the tretenoin, then Avene lipid replenishing cream (I need the richness). In the morning I use Timeless C 20%, then Avene Retrinal Serum with bakuchiol and other goodies, then Roche Posey Double repair cream with Ceramides, etc (I need the moisturizer), then a tinted sunscreen. 2x/ week at night I only use the Ordinary Glycolic Acid followed by a skin barrier cream like Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm. It is not too difficult a regime and I get compliments on my skin now. I would not have gotten to this place without all your information. Thank you.

Hi Dr Dray- I tried using tretinoin for several months on my face/chest and at first my skin looked great even while peeling but the peeling never went away, and eventually my skin became incredibly dry and irritated. I stopped the tretinoin, and now I'm left with a rough texture all over my face and decollete that won't go away. It's as if I have an invisible rash all the time.

Exfoliating with BHA twice a week and AHA once or every two weeks totally helps my Rosacea. Maybe because of exfoliating as you said, maybe because it has a very low pH and normalizes the skin pH a bit. I have a very angry skin when coming to moistuizers so I do it max twice a week because if I do it every day it is aggrevating my Rosacea. I can use water with glycerin and Panthenol as a toner couple of times a week, no more. Sometimes when I didn't use sunscreen I just wash with water or not at all. That also helps maintaining my microbiom and natural skin lipids.

Destroyed my skin, especially vitamin C, Niacinamide, and Retinol. I had glowy skin, but what wasn’t mice was the ref inflammation of the face, red bumps, hives and cysts. I previously thought I had Rosacea and fungal acne, but after my diabetes diagnosis I learned it has several overlapping symptoms, and why my skin hates every skincare ingredient or product. And whenever I find something I like that works, it gets discontinued.

My husband has recently decided to wear his hair very short because of age related hair loss. At 66, the area on top has no hair and he feels compelled to touch it now constantly. If he feels and bump he tends to pick it off. I am trying to find a moisturizer and sunscreen that he can use on the top of his head where there are bald areas and lower on the head there is hair where he won’t need sunscreen…

Hi 👋. Try looking into castor oil for the scalp . Make sure it’s a decent quality ( organic- cold pressed) - Hope that’s of some help 👍.

A video came on while I was listening to you from Dr. Layke saying women should be using his vitamins of Dermal Repair, which contains saw palmetto, collagen, vitamin A and B vitamins and hylauronic acid. In your medical opinion will these vitamins work on repairing texture? I hope you have the time to respond, thank you

I have Rosacea and I battle textured skin. I use a prescription strength Azelaic acid but I feel it really doesn't do much. I've been using it for sev years. My skin doesn't tolerate AHA, BHA or even PHA acids. It's frustrating.

I have really fussy, mild rosacea prone skin, and I simply cannot use any form of retinol/retinal. I exfoliate once a week with a aha/bha pad, and use azelaic acid most days. My skin can’t tolerate more than that!

Hi Dr. Dray can you talk about other mediheal products like retinol collagen lifting pad. Is it worth it? Or is it a good introduction to retinol for beginners
