That’s an interesting thought! Can you explain a little more what your plan is? As far as I understand it you plan to add one of your top magnet videos as a pinned comment to new videos that you publish, right?

@@KayakhacksFishing Alright, nice! I have an idea for adding the magnet to your video description or pinned comment: Did you see the “Insert a Video Link” links below the description box and the pinned comment box in the #4 Optimize tab? I could add a option there to show the top magnets instead of all your uploads to more quickly pick and add them there. And then of course for the cards and end screens you only need the video link and not the video title. So you could directly copy the link in Morningfame’s report. How does that sounds?

I'm getting people binge watch my videos. Oh you once asked me to let you know how I go using 3 hash tags in the description. You asked me to let you know after you did a video about why you stopped using hash tags. My videos have begun to grow since putting hash tags into my descriptionbox. So really good.
@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Binge watching makes a huge difference. Interesting! How do you think did the hashtags influence your views? Do people search for these hashtags directly. Or is it some kind of indirect effect that you see e.g. in your traffic sources? Thanks for following up on this!
@ProductCreationFormula3 жыл бұрын
@@Morningfame I think because I put it in the description box, it becomes part of the SEO that Google loves. I know Google owns KZbin and they are different too. But I think there might be some kind of algorithm cross over when it comes to the back end. I also write a few hundred words as well as add the hashtags and I also use the chapters. The internet loves hashtags so I think it helps as long as we don't overdo it. I use no more than 3 hashtags at a time, and they end up near the video title. So I would assume that is why it is noticed by KZbin. It probably helps KZbin work out what your video is about. and helps to push it out to the right people.

Nico! I’m a subscriber of your services almost a year! I am a musician and my content on youtube is mostly acoustic live looping covers. Although i can understand and use most of your features, sometimes i get myself lost because music matters seems to be a different area that isn’t covered on these kind of keyword reserch tool. I would like to see a little bit more information about my area, if possible! Great content and always a great help! Cheers Nico!
@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
Good point Nuno! The music niche is quite unique. Interestingly, KZbin supports music channels with a slew of different automatic playlists. Have a look at the “Linked Content” section in the Algorithm tab and there the “Top Recommending Channels” report. I bet you’ll see a many different playlists that bring your views which can give you an idea of which of your music videos are promoted by KZbin with that special additional power of playlists! And you are asking about keyword research: Here we actually don’t have much of a difference to other niches. However, it is definitely not straight forward to come up with good search terms because the obvious ones like the artist and song name of the song you are covering is usually quite competitive. I discussed that with many other music channels already and the trick is to come at it from a different angle. Have you thought of approaching your research from a style of music, the particular guitar you play, mood of the music, purpose of the music (study, relax, party, ...), etc. angle? Maybe that helps to find less competitive search terms. Or did you ask because of another aspect of keyword research you wish to know more of?
@nunocasais3 жыл бұрын
@@Morningfame thank you for your kind answer! My style is live looping. Everytime i do a search using your keyword research tool, for example... ‘The Joke’ by Brandi Calile - Acoustic Cover - live looping (or just loop, or looping) i see that peoples don’t search for that term (just an example). In those situations, should i forget the live looping term and publish without those words on the title? Sometimes i go for it... sometimes I don’t. But in fact, i see that, as you said, it’s an area that is somewhat confusing. For example, the tab ‘instead of these ones, make more of these’ it’s not helping much on my area, as you may see if you think about it. But if i take all these details apart, it’s a great tool for my job. I just wanted to understand it better and adapt it better to my area.
@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
@@nunocasais I see! It sounds like you already think of your video title in the #3 Search tab, could that be? In the #3 Search tab it is only about search terms. That are the terms that viewers actually enter into the search bar. A video title, however, is something different. As you know, you craft it in the #4 Optimize tab. And there you include the search term into your video title but also add extra words. So in step #3 only focus on what a viewer might enter into the search bar. There are several techniques to come up with these search terms btw: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXXIdaacncx8hZI

Can you also influence the stage 3 mirroring from other channels' videos? For example, when one of your videos gets suggested of a big channel's video can you link that particular video in the end screen of your video to get the suggesting loop even better in the algorithm...
@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
Interesting thought buddy! In general, you can nudge the Suggested Videos algo with that. However, Suggested Videos considers the direction in which viewers flow. So linking your video -> big channel’s video would nudge the algo to send additional viewers from your video -> big channel’s video. It doesn’t directly affect the other direction of big channel’s video -> your video. So I can say that there is no direct effect that you wish for and, sorry, I can’t say if there is any indirect effect that you wish for or not.

@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
Great question Nisa! I have a video in the pipeline that will talk about defining your niche clearly. But switching niches is a tricky topic. You have to see it like starting a new channel from zero in many cases. If you actually have an advantage of using your existing channel rather than starting a new channel, the big question is how many of your existing subscribers will be interested in the new videos that you do for a new niche. Usually most of them will not be interested. That’s natural. But if some of your subscribers stick around and continue watching your new videos then you have a jumpstart compared to starting a new channel. But most of the times you need to be aware that you are basically starting over. That’s unfortunately how it is...

Great video! I would give this video a 9.5/10. The cherry on top would have been to list out the 3 stages visually, to make it easy to understand from the first time you mention it. I feel like I would have to click around the video to really understand what the 3 stages are and what they are called. I think it is, 1 make people binge watch your videos, 2 show up on suggested videos of other channels , 3 then meta data copy huge channels to hopefully show up on theirs? haha Again 9.5/10! Great video, thank you!
@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a ton for your feedback buddy! Oh yea, that would have helped. Alright, let’s at least do that here. You were close: Stage 1: Make people binge watch your videos -> The “Linked Content” section will show if you succeed with that goal. Stage 2: The Suggested Videos algorithm mirrors that binge watch behavior -> You see the same video pair in the “Suggested Videos” section, “Top Recommending Channels” report for your own channel. Stage 3: The Suggested Videos algorithm automatically starts to show your videos next to other channels’ videos. -> You see that in the “Suggested Videos” section, “Top Audience Magnets” report. In that 3rd stage start producing more similar videos to those you e.g. see in the “Top Audience Magnets” report and maybe use similar words in the video titles. However, don’t put your focus too much on the “keyword thinking”. It’s not a main way to make the Suggested Videos algorithm work for you like we know that from the KZbin Search algorithm. It’s really all about constantly making sure all your videos go through all 3 stages. Each new video needs to be integrated into binge watch sessions and then the magic can happen!

High 5 Paul! Beautiful. :) Well, no matter in which stage you are, you always need to continue feeding the algo with what I explained about stage 1 - namely linking your videos for binge watch sessions. Then keep verifying that the algo mirrors that according to stage 2 and adjust if it‘s not working for your new videos. But yes, although there is no clear level at which you can start doubling down in stage 3, definitely monitor the „Top Audience Magnets“ report to learn which video topics allow you to reach viewers on other channels. If the views are still small for those „magnet videos“ then incorporate the usual analytics as well to decide your next video topics because these views via the Suggested Videos from other channels may not be a big portion of your views yet. But keep an eye on these magnet videos to learn into which direction you may develop your channel! 😃👍

My recommendation is that you create videos as series by design. So instead of thinking about single videos, script e.g. 3 videos as a series from the ground up. Make each of them quite short so that once people got what they want then the video is almost at the end and then include strong cliffhangers to make people watch the next episode. Here is a series design that is a great start for that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHfNiKR3nsmYnNk

Thanks a lot my friend! What aspect of it do your find important if I may ask? Maybe that I go deep into the details? Or that I try to explain that you can easily follow? I appreciate it. :)

Nico, please don't forget to heart my comment! Helps the Algorithm (ProTip) hahaha
@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha, clever statement! 😉 My rule for hearts is actually to use them to highlight follow-up conversations that add info to the video. I wonder how many of my viewers are actually aware of this, though. 😅

WOW learnt something I had completely overlooked.....CLIFF HANGER!!! How dumb am I Thanks
@Morningfame3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha, you know what Wally? I was aware of cliffhangers for the longest time. And a few years ago Brian G. taught me the hand-off method. After that it took me ages to see that the hand-off and cliffhangers are the same thing and that we actually can learn a lot from tv series! 👊😎

@@Morningfame What titles says but as usual generic blalbalb. I thought Germans with their attention to details will do better but you blalblab waffle even more. That was very much expcted lol You all know nothing about the algorithm cos it essentially A/B test randomizer. Even I know that. If we have 10 video reviews of some movie. Any of them can blow up irregarding of quality or anything else. Randomizer and human factor. That;s all there is to It. You can enter all the right keywords and that gives your change but that's about it. I have dozens of channels and did lots of tests. The very same video with identical title, desc, thumb can get drastically different views on a newly created one. Linking up your content? LOL of course you should use the tools given to you. When youtube gave everyone community post they pushed this feature hard. The same goes for shorts. Once it's over it's back to normal
