I’m teaching my 10yo to box. Started with left jab & right cross, foot work. I only boxed for 3 yrs from 27!to 19yo. & had little training. Taught myself from reading & experienced fellow boxers. Anyway the instruction is perfect on the speed bag. I learned by watching others & it took a while to learn. I used your technique & it makes learning easy. My 10 yo is now working on the speed bag & progressing wel. Much faster than I did at 17yo. Fixing to start on the heavy bag. You have a video for that.

Another fantastic video, so glad I stumbled upon your channel. As a former teacher, I am very impressed by how well you break skills down into individual achievable components. What swivel are you using?
@AhmedShraim3 жыл бұрын
Thank you my good man. I use various swivels at the gym but my favorite is the Title Lighting fast swivel. It is shorts than the typical swivels which makes super fast combined with a small speed bag.

On the straight punch to curl were is the rotation coming from to bring arm back? Are you rotating on the hip or just slight rotation from thoracic area?

18:31 at speed, youre throwing all your punches from your right shoulder and leaving left cheek wide open - both hands to the same ear is a REAL BAD HABIT (and a hard one to fix) center-up and bring each hand to each cheek every time. You'll find you can juggle easier and catch any spinning and wobbling that way. Keep practicing homie! It's a lost art..
@hepzlawrence77103 жыл бұрын
How long should i train on the speed bag for everyday to get better? And how long does it usually take to get good?
@Mrs.Deanna_Ember2 жыл бұрын
That depends on you really, even taking an hour a day to practice your form at a comfortable pace how he is will help you progress, but you have to keep it consistent and be patient with yourself aswell... sometimes people expect to get it down in a week or even a couple of days and end up being discouraged because they don't respect the work, discipline, and time it takes...
@johnw8894 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’ve only recently started exercise with a speed ball. While your film shows your ball achieving five bounces I can only reach three. Why is that? Is it my strength or the ball or both?
@AhmedShraim4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, not sure exactly what do you mean by 5 bounces? If you mean the rebound of the bag, then the correct number for most tricks is 3 not 5 and you are doing it correctly.

What I learnt from this video: SpeedBag (it hits the board above 3 times in-between punches) Hit the bag at its thickest point right before it comes to its starting position. Don't hit hard. Stop the bag if it starts rotating, reset and try again. Turn Right and Left with shoulders a lil for throwing punches. Elbows bent a lil. Hands infront of mouth Practice: 10 right 10 left switch hands without stopping 7 right 7 left switch hands without stopping 3 right 3 left switch hands without stopping Drill: Straight punch + curl punch combo (4 counts straight punch + back + curl punch + back ) Fancy Speedbag trick. For right handed: Hands will go on right side of face. Left hand on the right cheek Right hand on the outer side of right cheek Both hands move at the same time.
