you can delete the clutch and put a sentrifugal clutch in the place of the right of the clutch basket and put a honda ex5 clutch cover and have it lika a semi auto but you need some ather things to

You talking about the drive gear for the pump. the one on the back of the pump? The HONDA OEM one is black plastic🤷‍♂️

@@GromBeardo yea that’s it 👍🏻in a group I’m on Facebook it showed a plastic drive gear worn out is that a common thing or very rare . Is there a metal upgrade version do you know

@@glyndwr1282 I've never heard of one wearing out from normal riding. I mean, my buddy just hit 40K miles on his Grom and still the original oil pump. Probably why an "upgrade" isn't available that I know of. Honestly a metal drive gear sounds like a bad idea to me. If the pump fails/jams up then a metal gear is gonna cause a shit ton of damage and destroy the whole engine. A plastic one will fail and you'll basically destroy the top end, but not the whole engine.

I bought one of these and just got it. Any problems with the stock dowel pins and what size is recommended?

I haven't had any issues with just the OEM shuffle pins. The Takegawa come new with longer ones, maybe 5mm longer. The backing plate is thicker on the Takegawa and it's better secured with 5 vs 2 fasteners on the OEM. I wasn't worried about just using the OEM shuffle pins, plus it's all I had, so just sent it.

I’ve been running your oil pump for 9 months with no problems and I was just wondering if you recommend adding a little extra oil or to send it with the amount the manual says?

You can add more oil if you like. 150ml I know is a safe amount to add 👍

Why would my top end not be getting oil after a left case replace and put back together??

Could be a lot of things, but I'd assume your oil pathway is blocked. The main one feeding the top end, possibly.

The OEM one is fine. If you've got a cam, oil cooler, big bore, basically any mod that's gonna create more heat or increase the volume of the system, then you'd need a high flow.
