I saw this video 5 years ago and had decided to save it to my pc... I used to watch it and copy steps I was not so tech literate at that time... eventually I liked the music. one day I lost the video, but I remembered the music exactly how I heard it the first time... today I found this video in 480p on my harddrive and was so satisfied after hearing and watching this video after a long time... honestly this tutorial is freaking perfect even in 2020.This video is kind of a memory for me now xD edit: its 144p quality on my hdd xDD

Each time you turn on your computer, Windows keeps track of the way your computer starts and which programs you commonly open. Windows saves this information as a number of small files in the prefetch folder. The next time you turn on your computer, Windows refers to these files to help speed the start process.

Keelan Hasan Completely agree with you.Clearing files and folder in prefetch folder will just turn your computer slow or work slow. Because this folder is kinda like your recent documents where computer keeps general program codes which you usually open .. So it saves time and doesn't take much time in opening a program. Better leave this Prefetch folder.

As for Contig.exe, half-true. It can work in other way's like de-fragging the whole of your HDD, although it need's a separate addon known as 'PowerDefragmenterGUI' to work. Basically it's a menu utility made for Contig.exe to either defrag specific file's, or your entire hard-drive. However, doing so could potentially wreck the functionality of your machine overall as it doe's re-arrange the file's it's interacting with in a particular order that might do more harm than good

Good tips but I feel like you could explain a little bit more, perhaps in the description, what each step is doing. Anyone could figure out something like CCleaner but some things are a bit confusing and not everyone wants to do things to their computer, no matter how good, without understanding what they are doing. (For example 4300 isn't the best setting for everyone for a page file) Otherwise very good video, the time you took making this to help other people is much appreciated.

Prefetch doesn't really have any necessary StuffIt. Or any at all for that mater. Trust me, just delete the stuff there.
