Finally! been wait for another vid from the wannabes love the videos and have you finished the aux fuel set up?
@WannabeTuners5 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot brother! The setup is running great. As of now we have increased boost to 24 psi and collaborated the aux fuel system to the stock fuel system successfully. We're still on base ignition timing but we are really enjoying this setup. We're very excited to finish up a video on that soon ;)

Awesome man glad to see you guys are back at it ...so what numbers are you making now with this setup? What’s the plans going forward
@WannabeTuners5 жыл бұрын
@@Mazdaspeedgarage Thanks brother, at this point the car is averaging 340 whp in Virtual Dyno with CF 1.01 at roughly 23 - 24 psi. We're still on base timing and hope to settle at 380 whp with more timing. Once we build the bottom end, well push for 450 whp :D How's your Speed 6 treating u?

Even pressure is better when they are isolated from each other. Without isolation, one will always stretch more than the other allowing more pressure in the weaker bag. With weight being added to say just the drivers seat will increase the pressure on that side. More resistance means it will take more pressure to lift that side. If they are in parallel the passenger side would have to overcome the weight/pressure. Even spring pressure can be better conditioned isolated/separated.
@WannabeTuners5 жыл бұрын
That makes total sense, I can see how that would be beneficial as the pressure in one bag will not effect the behavior of the other bag. It's good that they provide two shrader valves with the kit for those who want to inflate them independently of eachother. Even having it setup the way we did it delivers a huge improvement in handling :)

I am a proud 2011 mazda2 and 2006 Mazda 3 owner, I have done all work on them over the lifespans so far. Mazda2 has 118k and the 3 has 198k. I made a set of custom coil over shocks for the rear of my mazda2! It’s much more stiff now! Keep up the great vids!

How would I do this if I have air suspension? My rear is bouncy as hell
@WannabeTuners5 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's possible with air suspension because in your case the air bags ARE the springs. In our case we retain the stiffness of the rear spring and shock combination, and simply prevent the springs from being compressed. For the most part ride quality is comfortable and refined, although if pressure is set too high it gets a bit bouncy ;)
@alexlowery31585 жыл бұрын
Couldn't you just get adjustable damping shocks and it would do the same thing
@WannabeTuners5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't be surprised if stiffer shocks helped a bit, but I imagine the ride quality over bumps would be harsh. I'm sure stiffer springs would definitely work but might also be harsh. I'm not even sure if there are any specifically stiffer springs available on the market for these cars. The thing I like about these air bags is that they keep squat to a minimum, but also keep the ride comfortable. All they're doing is limiting the travel of the springs, not actually stiffening them :)

Edit updated measurements Hi guys, great video. I tried installing the # 80754 3.44 x 5.5 bags in my Mazda3 GT (not 3speed) and didn't like the universal fit. The bags aren't tall enough and must use the spacers which I suspect may eventually fall out. I did some more research recently and found a company in Australia that sells Firestone airlift bags for Mazda3 and they appear to be proper height (don't have spacer at top to take up room for shorter bag. I suspect they list lift bags because North America doesn't have tow rating form Mazda3 but Europe does.
