Brilliant!! I have dealt with Cam timing repeatedly on my Matthews V327 inch bow. This is an awesome idea that I absolutely will use. Thanks for the video.

I don’t get it at all how does putting a price of metal in a cable shorten or lengthen a cable

Hats off to Dan’s easy explanation of this device which makes perfect sense if what you want is to perfectly super-tune your two cam system compound bow. I wonder what the design engineers at Matthew’s have to say about it and why didn’t they thought of such a simplistic approach to ensure bows come super tuned out of the box?
@allenr66873 жыл бұрын
Because they want pro shops to get there money.. after probably 100-300 shots string stretch or settle and it’s a quick buck to make on someone who doesn’t have press. We are living in a time where dual cams are the in thing which they were always the best system but string material advancement brought them back from the single cam era.
@pjreilly39973 жыл бұрын
The bow has nothing to do with it if you listen to Dans explanation. It’s the cables. Every compound bow made can use this system. They all have this same issue
@79brumley3 жыл бұрын
Anyone who knows anything about bow tuning realizes a bow cannot come out of the box supertuned. It has to be tuned to each individual archer, Also new strings stretch.

Dan or PJ. Can you install up top and use it to rotate the peep?
@LancasterArcherySupply3 жыл бұрын
These are designed for your cables rather than your bowstring, which is where you would install something to affect peep rotation. Can you use this for peep Rotation? You can technically use anything for that but that’s not what these are designed for. They don’t slide as easily as other devices.
@jasonnester95142 жыл бұрын
So with this logic installing a peep then shortens the main string ?
@JJ79_2 жыл бұрын
Its not logic its physique. For sure it shortens.

Will it change the cam timing if you slide them up or down the cable?
@allenr66873 жыл бұрын
Yes it will. I have been using g5 speed nocks for this and peep rotation. Bowmar make one designed for peep rotation but it will work same way. G5’s speed nocks are aluminum so tying it in is the best way. These and bowmars are probably silicone based so strings and cables “hug” them better I imagine. I have press and time but things like these are worth weight in gold because even on draw board your hand for the shooter holds different so draw broad might have most pressure on top of grip where the shooter might have more pressure on bottom of grip. They really should of pointed that out.
@pjreilly39973 жыл бұрын
No it will not change the timing if you slide them up or down!
@pjreilly39973 жыл бұрын
@@allenr6687 These are not silicone based. They are aluminum.
@jhuntley5753 жыл бұрын
No it won't chance the timing moving them up and down. The bowmar peep tuner on a string nit a cable is completely different

Been doing this with dloop material for years lol
@brooksmaxey97453 жыл бұрын
That was my thought watching couldn't you just mushroom both ends of a d loop material
@LancasterArcherySupply3 жыл бұрын
You can…..but D loop is malleable and will flatten over time which changes its effect on timing. These are aluminum and their effect on the string is constant.
@brooksmaxey97453 жыл бұрын
But the new flagships come out once a year 😆 🤣 jk
@Njjb1223 жыл бұрын
Yea thats true it does flatten . I change my strings every year so it will normally hold up, but this is a really good idea and something that was needed on the market..honestly i have only needed it on 2 bows pure coincidence they were both mathews but one was because I was using a cable driven rest and the rest cord was going through the down cable so I needed to put loop material in the other cable to get timing perfect
@jasonnester95142 жыл бұрын
I don’t get it how does putting a piece of metal in your cable move the cam
@LancasterArcherySupply2 жыл бұрын
Because it separates the cables, which is the same effect as twisting them but in a smaller increment. And when you shorten the cable it pulls the cam forward
