Great video. But you didn't show where and how to connect the power cable from the camera to the power socket. Did you hardwire it or inserted it into the 12v charging socket/usb slot?

I usually skip this step as it's pretty straight forward. I do lots of dash cam videos and I use a power adapter behind the rearview mirror to expedite the video recording time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKKkhYCvfbGEpck However, you can check out my other dash cam recordings as in some of them I show how I run the power cables to the unit.

I believe the longest you can have the screen on is 3 mins. IDK why the didn't put the option to turn off screen saver

Question ..Great Video by the way but why did the Power Cable in your video change??? The power cable you plugged in is not the same Power cable when you say into the cigarette plug adaptor...... Now lets go ahead and start up the Vehicle when you make the next edit quick cut..its a whole entirely new Power cable?? so which cable is which just curious..

Great question and a good eye. If you follow my channel I do lots of dash cam installations. So to help me make my recordings easier and faster I have a default prewired power source ready to go in my vehicle. When I do another dash cam installation I don't need to rewire the whole thing again.

Installation is a bit more involved. Plan around airbags and how to mitigate radio signal interference. Applying the static sticker over the defroster and antenna isn’t a great idea.

I just purchased this dash cam after being involved in an accident. I appreciate your video showing how to tuck the cords away. I was wondering how you laid the cord from the front cam to the cigarette lighter? Did you just run it across the dashboard or more underneath it?

Ran underneath the head liner to the a pillar then underneath the glove box. That's how I would normally run the power wire. However, I do use a power adapter for easier cleaner wiring. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnq2aIaXa5upp5I

Great tutorial on this install and setup. I personally purchased the VIOFO A229 Plus 3 Cam kit with the parking power wire kit. (actually arrived today). However, I do have a question; regarding the the frame rate (I think). Before I went thru the whole installation bid, I first connected the dash cams and tried them out. Everything is working fine BUT, that frame rate. I'm not sure if I am describing it correctly. As I moved the cameras a bit, the frame movement did not correspond with my movements. Perhaps this has some to do or the fix in Settings? Could you elaborate some, I'd appreciate it. Thx.

Framerate is the rate that it records at. I think you may be referring to the delayed time when live recording. I don't think that can be adjusted as thats a CPU issue.

@AutoSensation I see, ok.. Thank you for that. The only real issue I'm having then is with voice commands. It responds to some commands, others not. If I say, front, rear or cabin camera, it doesn't change to them. If I say, screen off or screen on it, or video on, it works. It It has a 512gb Sandisk card, and I upgraded the firmware on front and rear, and then factory reset it, but that didn't do anything for the voice issue, aside from the added features. I am wondering if returning it to Amazon for a replacement will be the solution.

I have a 2019 KIA Sorento. The space between the headliner and the windshield is so wide that the cable does not stay in place. What can be done in this case? Can I use reusable adhesive putty like the Gorilla Mounting Putty? Thanks.
