Does the park mode mean that it only starts to film once a collison has been detected? Or is it always on?

Can I use the obd port for both the front and back camera installation? Like will the one port supply power to both cams somehow?

It is not powered by obd it is powered by either usb, cigarette socket or fuse tap 🙂

@ couldn’t you het an adapter. There are many cams that can be powered by the obd. So it’s confusing why this wouldn’t

@ an obd port is to read the cars computer. The dash cam has no reason to do so hence it just needs 12v source to be powered on

I bought the 229pro 3ch after watching KZbin videos. The thing overheats and shuts down. It also doesn't auto turn on when I restart my car. I've been talking to viofo support but this can't be resolved. I think it overheats because I'm using a battery pack that record continuously. Very very disappointed.

@@presentelaw that’s very unfortunate… we have been loving ours. Could be that it is not designed to run 24/7 so it overheats and shuts down to protect it? Try setting it on 1080p and see if it works because 4k continuously will heat it up just like a phone would overheat
