@babyheat23 I am (old high jump technique), Good Eye! Pretty much when you run off a curved approach as I am showing, you would stick your jumping leg under the opposite shoulder to torque off of... in basketball it is not necessary, or needed. Worry more about the distances between feet, remember quick last 2.
@singbro13 жыл бұрын
may i just ask, how tall are you? im 5'7 and would it be possible to dunk in just a few days with the right technique and moderate strength?
@19babyhulk13 жыл бұрын
do you have any tips for increasing someone's standing vertical jump instantly? And thanks for the instant inches. i tried it out today. I'm 5'7 and i had been on the borderline of dunking. Today i did your "instant inches" workout and tried your techniques and dunked 10'3". 9'10" Was the highest i had previously dunked so i increased 5 inches from your jumping techniques.

I honestly don't know if this is considered training. Since the 8th grade, I kept jumping and grabbing the highest place I can reach on the basketball hoops in the school gym every practice. I am 17 years old now so I developed from not being able to touch net to where I can touch backboard, which is middle of the net if not higher. I am 5'5 as well. So I don't know if you consider that training as well. What do you think?

@BaseballBirdy Things like staying tall when you jump, and not bending at your knee you can pick up quickly... the penultimate step takes a lot of reps though... Don't overlook technique... you can gain more inches working 1 month on technique than you could doing one month of weight training. (YOU SHOULD BE DOING BOTH)

Im 5,8 and I can dunk from time to time, but approaching the basket I do all your donts. my last step is as huge as possible and almost a jump onto my jumping leg. also, I get as low as possible, this gives me maximum result. if I do that its almost like Im bouncing of the ground. these are my suggestions.

I got a few questions but first i will give you an idea of me. I am 5"11 1/2 but lets just go 6 ft and last time i measured my vert the highest i got was 20 inches standing and when i run and i don't know how many inches but i can reach about 1/2 an inch below the rim and i wanna be able to dunk so i decided to watch these and this is a big one, what do you mean bring your hips high i don't get it, thats my main question and i bet i can figure out the rest. i hope you see this and help me out.

Guys, dunk in basketball does not have to be difficult (I used to feel it did). I'll give you some advice right now. Search a jump vertical training program known as Nobolaron Manual (just google it). Seriously, that program has changed my entire life. I probably shouldn't even be talking about it because I do not want a bunch of other guys out there running the same "game" but whatever, I am in a good mood today so I will share the wealth haha.

with almost perfect training you could probably only improve 3-4 inches a month on average. and thats like at the max. but the more inches you have already gained the harder it is to keep improving, so for someone who has never trained their vertical before its a lot easier to gain inches. but if you've already trained from a 20 inch vertical to get where you are now then odds are your going to have much slower gains, probably around 1-2 inches a month max.

@MrHaha8000 I do the same thing. I scrape the inner part of my shoe, right by my toe, as I take off. The way to stop doing that is to just be quicker on your take off. Look at some off Rudy Clemen's videos or Springs's dunks and you'll notice how quick they are. But overall don't really think about it too much as your jumping and just try to fly!

I'm not really legitimated 'cause i'm not an offiexpert, but based for the end of summer its impossible to improve 14 inches. If u hard work since now, maybe you can get this 44 inch by the end of 2014's summer. However, if you are under 17 years old, your body isn't still developed at his max. (heigh, muscular mass, power, etc..) so if your s'till a teenager, these measures you've done would vary in a couple of years.
