I have quite a few jumpers! Something I suggest is making new cages for them that open from the bottom. Jumping spiders most of the time like to make their hammocks at the top of cages, and destroying the hammock every time you open it to feed and water them can be stressful to them.

I'm a western hognose breeder and have realized I never considered possible vet expenses if the babies have any kind of health issues and possible culling if they are failure to thrive. Now that I've witnessed hatchlings with health issues it's hard to see them in that state and deciding if they will have a good quality of life or not.

I would consider the average lifespan of an animal or insect before breeding it. As a keeper of parrots. I am astounded at the prolific breeding of larger parrots. As they can outlive their keeper and require rehoming several times. Turtles are similar in this and i often wonder if the breeders/sellers pass this important information onto potential keepers.

We had one successful pairing of emerald and one failed attempt, and multiple failed attempts of Putnami. Just wondering your thoughts on this.
