What would I do without you?!!! I am an absolute beginner. My dear sweet mother passed away and she was the one who was teaching me. I remembered how to knit and pearl but that's it! Binding off and casting on are the ones I always forget. I want to knit now, in honor of my dear mother. You are now an essential part of my new life in knitting!! Thank you so very much!!

The “mistakes” portion of the video was particularly helpful. I’ve been finding myself trying to diagnose and correct my mistakes myself and over complicating it. Thank you!

Thanks, Kristen. I’m going to haul out those needles and try again. I can crochet and Tunisian but knitting has evaded me for years! I’ve been a loom knitter with NO apologies-loom knitting is knitting, and your video tutorials are proof of that. Yet I still feel defeated by not being able to manage 10 stitches on those two pointy sticks!

Hi Gregory! I’m really glad you’re here. I totally understand where you’re coming from. I had a similar time and just had to keep at it. You’ll get there. Just give yourself some grace. I’d love if you would check back in with me and tell me how you’re doing.

But I'm having a hard time figuring out my visuals for weaving in the tails. The contrast green yarn helped but I'm getting confused with the overall weave in tail pattern. Any suggestions? I feel like I'm in kindergarten for knitting! Lol. Beginner Beginner here. Haha

Good morning Can you do the same stitch in crochet for beginners ?
@GoodKnitKisses3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Here is a mock garter stitch for crochet. It looks similar in one side but not reversible. There is a ribbing one though that is reversible I did as well that looks great. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5OYipJjr7xgeKc

Why am I ending up with so much space between my needles and the yarn?
@GoodKnitKisses3 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you're having an issue with tension. Your tension (how tight or loose you knit) is loose. Try going down a needle size or two smaller than what you are using. Look at the recommend needle size on the yarn label. If you are using the recommended size then you are certainly a loose knitter and will need to change needles. Sorry I said that twice but making sure to be clear. You'll want your stitches to fit up nicely together and be flexible, not tight and crowded, but certainly not with lots of extra space unless you are intentionally knitting lace. I hope that helps.
