Nice phrase, too bad it's BS. The person who wins, is the person who knows how to dedicate himself and take better advantage of his own personal advantages, opportunities, and privileges. These privileges are not the same for everyone. So, it's not enough to be the one who wants the most, life is not a fair race, some start closer to the starting line, and others start closer to the finish line... We have to deal with it.
@normaaliihminen722 Жыл бұрын
@@MrDusuke That's why perseverance and proper mindset is crucial. If you keep telling yourself that you suck then obviously you gonna suck. Sure life isn't fair to someone else How would I know? Well I have dyslexia and aiming for law school I have failed dozens of times in entry exams and I probably will fail dozens more but I dont give rat ass about it. Law as a vocation intrigues me so much that I bare the consequences.

Six step to learning a language: 1. pick videos what could enjoy yourself to watch; 2. watch them with subtitles at least an hour every day; 3. watch the videos without subtitles and try to summarize in you own words; 4. start reading in your target language and summarize as well 5. watch the video at 1.5 times of speed. 6. continuing to do all the thing above
@beinghere_127311 ай бұрын
Did you experience this type of learning? Does this really help? Cuz things you described are literal hell, and as for me will lead only to hate this languages..Not sure but at least step number 5 is useless, come on, I’ll find it really hard and maybe even impossible even watchin in my native language, and number four will work normally only w kids literature (not sure even with this, you can waste time lookin for related ones), sooo
@Bawsz10 ай бұрын
@@beinghere_1273i can personally vouch for first three steps, Obviously don't start with this but learn basic in that language then after 2-3 weeks of assimilating the most in your target language start watching show that you really liked and you already watched with the audio in english but the sub in ur language to keep picking up vocabulary, then when you start to feel more confident change the audio to in that language ( Yes it will be hard and you'll feel like you don't understand anything and it's not worth it but just keep having faith and don't give up). The more you practice the easier it will become and the more u understand the more u upgrade with more complicated series. But remember you never stop learning a languague even when you think you are fluent so just keep practicing it.

Japanese has the best sounds to my ear so I’ve always wanted to learn Japanese. Japanese just seems to be a cute language.
@xDavid8312 жыл бұрын
I'm studying Japanese and sometimes feel overwhelmed with so many resources and it's a good thing that there are so many... but at the same time I don't know what to focus on. I learned the Kanas and am learning grammar and vocabulary alongside some Kanji while trying to improve my reading speed but I feel like its going to be forever 😭😭😭 I definitely am passionate about learning so im not giving up whatsoever. I'm hispanic and English is my 2nd language but my main language and Spanish is my weaker language (quite funny haha) but I do use that benefit since us spanish folks have an easier time pronouncing words in Japanese due to it's similarities. I'm more along the lines of A1 in Japanese, to be quite frank. I'm going back and forth trying to learn grammar now and when to use particles, etc.

Whenever I lose the motivation or get overwhelmed, I remember why I wanted to learn the language in the first place. Whenever I hear something in particular in Japanese like great voice acting and how it feels to hear it in Japanese compared to English that boosts my motivation. Or when I hear a beautiful phrase or song being spoken in Japanese. The more you learn, the easier it gets. Just keep in mind, you never stop learning. You just have to reach a point where you are happy and go from there.

One thing you didn't mention is that there are different preferentials our brains have in learning. Some are more audio-based as learners, and some more visuals. Some pick up a lot by listening, others need to see the structures of the grammar in place. I think this works for someone who is very much on the audio-spectra of learning, like yourself. Myself, for example, not as much. I am also a polyglot (four languases as well), fluent in French for example that I started learning when 23. But I do not pick things up as easily when listening... though learning quite fast when studying the grammar. Tl;dr: we have different ways of learning, based on how our brain is set-up

Ruri-chan, one thing I forgot to mention in my comment which is reaaaally important when I was learning, another secret sauce if you will 😂 1st: Watch the movie, cartoon, anime etc in your own language and learn the CONTEXT of the situations in the scene. 2nd: Once context is etched in the brain, listening the 2nd lengua will become like learning a song. So you could say learning the context is the BASE of absorbing any new lengua. This has helped me a whole lot in my journey. Ten un bonito dia hermosa Ruri 💜

@@AfroLinguo Wow, I didnt know that was a thing 🤣 Its something I started doing out of the blue in my teens. Yeah I related it to song learning cause Im a musician. Its like this... before I learn my part(which is drums) I learn the other musicians parts 1st(start with bass). Once I got their "context"(melody, chords, bass, etc) etched in my brain, then I can speak with my drums and compliment them with a musical conversation(beats and rhythm). In the case of movies and shows, scene story context would be the bass, harmonies, time, tone, articulaton and feels. I dont know, thats how my brain sees it 😝🧠 hope this little breakdown helps your journey too 👍

I'm 22 years old, for some reason I feel too old to learn new things (does that make sense? No) but I have a dream of being a polyglot, I think it's really beautiful to be able to communicate with other people in their native language. Unfortunately, I understand English very well, but I can't speak it due to lack of practice. I've always been driven by motivation, and unfortunately that motivation ends, I never had the right discipline, I don't know, the frustration is always great, I'm also embarrassed to find people to talk to in English. What makes it worse is that I don't have money to pay an online teacher so I can talk, it's complicated

I'm currently learning 3 additional language (Mandarin, Japanese, and German). The learning curve to learn German isn't as steep as Mandarin if you speak English, as they share so much words, but of course the grammar is much more difficult. In the other hand, Mandarin steep learning curve came from their word character, grammar wise it's the easiest of these 3 IMO, and speaking in Mandarin is so fun because your tongue feel so fluid you don't need to stop hahaha. Japanese grammar can be soo complicated, but the early learning progression isn't so steep as well. Can't wait to finish these three and totaled 6 languages in my arsenal
