Man I remember things about an F100 that many would care less about in K Falls, Oregon. I can tell from your experience that this kit wasn't shit. hahaha Previous lifts. 1" lift ok. pulling the shock and the spring no big. Lifts become trash when you go so big you can't turn. Super helpful! I have an ‘18 SR5 DCLB that I am going to be lifting in the near future. I am struggling between the 3.5in and the 6in from RC. I am leaning towards the 6in due to my particular likes for aesthetics. Any advice? Have you done the 6in RC lift before?
@PSFGarage11 ай бұрын
Glad it was helpful! I like to keep things low and create clearance for larger tires with trimming. The 6” kit is cool though as long as you’re comfortable cutting the lower crossmember from your front suspension. It’s a great kit and works well. If you’re just aiming to run 33’s, go with the 3.5” lift and do some trimming of the front body mount. If you’re going 35’s, then use the 6” kit but know there’s other things that come with that too. Do your research!

@macneoh74189 ай бұрын
I bought the full 3.5 kit with UCA and leaf packs for my 2017 TRD off-road. I didn't need to cut anything. That $800 kit should've come with the diffental Spacers though. My kit came at different times. I didn't receive it all at once. It took like a week to get everything. With the $800 kit, you should get the spacers. I would contact RC if you don't.

I know you said yours fits 33's with no rubbing without the mudflaps, do you think a skinnier tire like to 275/60r20 would fit with no rubbing as well? I live in DC so its more of a city drive around truck for me, so dont hate to much!

Hey, to each his own! No hate from me on that, whatever you’re into is cool with me. Hard to say on that size. Seems like it would probably fit since the tires are a bit narrower than the 12.5 wide ones I was running. I give it a good chance of working! I did the RC leveling kit on my 2018 Taco and still sitting on stock 16” tires and wheels. Looking at adding the KMC KM719 wheels or something like it in an 17” or 18” rim wrapped in LT285 tires. Currently have a vibration when slowing down from about 80mph, that I have yet to see where(feeling it in the brake pedal), have you had any problems?
@DRUMZ4LIFE82 Жыл бұрын
That would be your drivers side front diff bearing. You’ll need to swap the old needle bearing out with the EGCS clamshell bushing.
@PSFGarage Жыл бұрын
Sounds like an awesome truck! Great choice with those KMC’s too. Hmm, I haven’t had that issue with this one personally but could potentially be in the brakes? 2018 is pretty new but I guess it depends on how much you’re driving it, brakes could be ready for some changing, maybe even just pads? Hard to say.
@kylelong4987 Жыл бұрын
Well I found out once I replaced the stock 16” rims and 245’s with 11/4” hubcentric spacers that the spacers caused the vibration, no spacers now and new tires and rims, poof- gone.

How does the rear ride in regards of the leaf springs through out different situations? High speed, mid speed, low speed. Firm, soft, plush? Stiff?

Great question! I'd say it rides event better than stock on the road and seems to absorb bumps better at mid to high. speeds off road.
