How to look after a pet squirrel

This is how you should care a pet squirrel. One of my friend brought me a lost squirrel. I had no clue how to look after it since squirrels are not regularly encounter in our day to day life like dogs and cats. So I had to do some digging to find out feeding methods, how we should make the relationship with the squirrel and so many other facts. It took nearly 4 days to read all the things carefully since the squirrel is so small. Because then it's vulnerable to our mistakes.
I apologies for the vertical videos and photos. Because it was really hard to handle him and capture.

Aap ye formula ek din Se zada bana k na rakhein. Feed every two hours to the baby squirrel. Bache ko warm rakhein. Thanda kuch b nai khilaayein. Because he will not survive in the wild. And I think urs is killed by some predators. Coz squirrels would never leave their owner.. And by the way your squirrel is way to small to be attracted to a girl.

@@dorathedestroyer5479 im sorry i couldnt reply you 4 weeks ago.. now im pretty sure u found a way .. but if you havent.. then use a syringe or something small to feed them.. and im pretty sure after they grew up a little.. they will pretty much everything.. and dont feed them meat. its okay to feed them a little meat . but i think squirrels prefer rice cashew nuts and norml daily food.. and only give him a bath after a year. and play with them spend time with them.. ont worry its not a big deal.. you can do it. and give them exersice dont always put them in the cage.you can give them milk,buiscuts, sun flower seeds etc.. just take good care of them.. goodluck

How old is he now? I found a baby squirrel today in my shoe. Going by this video, I think it's 4-5 weeks old. It took to me quite easily. I'm not sure about the diet I'm giving it. I fed milk mixed with a little sugar using a syringe. I even gave it a piece of guava. It tried eating it, but i don't think it's ready for it yet. Please let me know what you fed your squirrel when it was still suckling and how you fed it. And how often do you have to feed it milk?

I have a pet male squirrel, his name is Chichi he is Eight months old now but still at home. Every morning he goes out and come time to time to eat. We feed him his favourite bananas, mini biscuits, bread, pineapple, boiled rice and apple juice. He love to play with us and often hug our fingers. Every night he cuddles with us and goes to sleep in a suitcase full of my old clothes on top of our cupboard.He is very happy, though the female squirrels hit and chase him everytime!!!!!

@@arunpathak6458 we get milk formula for human babies in medical shops,1 part of that formula milk powder with 8 parts of water,donot boil..also usko agar syringe se pila rahe ho to wo nahi pi payega because unke mu chote hote,agar apke aas paas koi hospital hai us hospital ke pharmacy mai aapko infant feeding tube milega (no.7 or no.8) usko syringe mai attach kar ke usse doodh pilana...also,usko warm rakhiye and feed every 2 hours..also,where do live,incase you live in mumbai i can help you more..vetenarians aapki zyaada help nahi kar payenge because they don't get a lot of squirrels in their routine practice

Now he needs a wooden cage inside some leaves, sticks with various food, and water. After he wakes up you can take them and put in a cage, later you can practice him to go outside but still need to sleep inside the house until he build his own. However, you have to feed him everyday even he lives outside without touching him

I am using disposable syringe. Initially the syringe works fine giving proper drops. After 2-3 uses and washing the syringe, the syringe motion becomes less free. Did you face this problem?

Yes sometimes it make some problems. keep a 1cc or 5cc syringe. I'm more comfortable with the 5 cc one. If you can find a nipple it will be good. But if you couldn't just make a drop at the tip and lower it to the mouth of the squirrel.

you can try. Usually they willingly refuse the milk when they grow old.

Give milk 2ml to 3ml 4 times a day every 3 hours till it refuses to drink .after 4 weeks start giving water to avoid dehydration. u can give fruits like grapes and watermelon then apple. This is the food priority 1 vegetables (green beans, cabbage, Cauliflower, carrot 2 fruits (black or green grapes, apple, water melon) 3 Nuts (almonds, walnuts) VERY IMPORTANT: make sure it spends 10 to 15 minutes everyday in safe outdoor for sunlight for vitamin d to process calcium for bone strength or else the result will be fatal.

Hello Bro, I had 4 squirrel baby, not sure how old are they but after seeing your video I can guess they might b around 3 weeks and one baby is weak and could not open his eyes yet. I m not sure how to feed them because I tried through syringe but they all refused they all don't open their mouth. Pls help how to feed them or else they can die

did you try feeding milk from a piece of cloth. Soak it's corner in small amount of milk and touch their mouth. It's a traditional method. Most of the time it works.

I saw your squirrel. He is cute/ or she. However, where did you find the baby Squirrel? It seems it wasn't given milk for very long. Did you go by some info online? Is it safe to give them yogurt? Do you have any follow up videos on his/her Release? Just curious. U were so kind as to help this baby Squirrel ❤️❤️❤️ 😊

I read some research articles and some books regarding their behavior. I gave him milk according to his need. You'll know when you raise a one. It's called responsive feeding. When squirrel need, you feed him . Then when it doesn't wont the milk further it won't stay on the syringe. It take the mouth off.
