I made this tart the first COVID Thanksgiving as it was the first time it was just my husband, kids, and me without more family. It has pretty much become the STAR of our meal! We love it so much! We eat it as a side and it is so bright and tasty.

Easy & delicious! Only variation is that I added a teensy grating of orange zest, made it in ramekins & served garnished with lashings of whipped cream. It was amazing..

Made the cranberry curd twice last year, once with the recipe crust and again with pate sucre and a marzipan base, and it was absolutely delicious both times. One of the best desserts I've ever eaten. If you haven't tried this yet, go get some cranberries and go for it!!!

Looks awesome but would really like to know your honest opinion if you would add some more sugar since you said it just rolled over into dessert territory. Cranberries can be really tart so it would make perfect sense and one can make it just perhaps once or twice a year. Love your guest and her demonstration, she seems like a real pro. Thank you for this recipe.

Oh, Lan, this looks wonderful! All I can think is that my mother would have looooooved this dessert. She was all about those cranberries. I remember bags and bags of fresh cranberries, when the price was right, in the fridge and freezer. I think the cranberry cream decoration on top just made the whole presentation. Thank you, Lan!

No orange enhancement? Orange zest? Orange juice? With all due respect, ATK, orange flavoring of some kind pairs so well with cranberry....maybe an orange whipped topping? Dammit!!! I want some orange in this!!! LOL!

I have made this twice now. Follow recipe exactly by weight and curd is perfection each time…..but….. crust never looks like hers. Walls of tart collapse each time. Tried freezing a few minutes before baking on the second attempt and same exact result. It is edible but in future I will use different tart crust recipes and just use this curd recipe.

The next best thing (appearance-wise) that's even close to this tort pie is: a recipe that was never revealed from America's test kitchen or it may have been from Cook's country was a Pink Pie that was always shown in the opening credits. But for whatever reason it was never featured nor was the recipe ever given out. I wonder why,?

I live 15 miles from one of the top producing states of amazing Cranberries. New Jersey. The bogs during the fall are gorgeous & I'm obsessed w/ Cranberries. This tart looks so good, I'm making it this Thanksgiving & will probably make it year-round!! Great demo ladies.💖

Dang Lan! I love cranberries but we thought we weren’t having cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving this year since we’re having an ATK smoked beef brisket as our protein. Thought my T Day menu was set. The second time I made the tart I put it in the freezer before baking. Again, it turned into a big almond cookie. I don't understand it.

How did she not scramble those egg yolks when she dumped them in the hot cranberries? She didn't temper the yolks... I'm REALLY confused here.

Even if they scrambled, it would be incorporated in the food processor and you would never see it.

Ok here's the skinny on this recipe. I've done it twice and have found a couple of things. 1) It's delicious and easy. With a perfect flavor complement of almond crust to filling. And the cream topping puts it over the top. 2) The oven bake time for the crust of 20 minutes was too high. On my second attempt I cut the time to 15 minutes and that was perfect. 3) The filling does not by any stretch go through a mesh strainer. So just IMO skip the step. I wasted filling finding out. Other than that people have asked me about it.

I loved the recipe but it didn’t really set well so I actually cooked the tart for 10 mins in the oven and it was perfect.

Made two of these for Thanksgiving, one last night & one this morning! The filling is so good…reminds me of a pink Starburst. I’ve never made a tart before and I followed the recipe to a T and they turned out beautiful! It takes a little time, but is so worth it! You have to try it!

Since I have always loved the tartness of cranberries I will try to make a keto version by swapping out the sugar and corn starch from the recipe

Okay, be prepared for something on the tartness level of lemon juice, and you might have some trouble with it setting properly. Maybe not, because cranberries have a lot of pectin, but good luck with it.

how did it go? I've made keto curds with whole eggs and a bit of konjac and it went very well. I'm wondering about omitting the corn starch from the crust... did you substitute something in or just go for it?

@@McAuliflower I have not made it yet, I was going to make one this week for Thanksgiving. I have made a similar crust for cheesecakes and have no problem omitting the corn starch. I was planning on using a combination of gum thickeners that I have been experimenting with for keto ice cream recipes. Will let you know how it comes out!

Hypothetically, could we use less eggs and still make this work, if say, we boiled too many for Deviled eggs because I thought it wouldn't be enough Deviled eggs, and now I'm short exactly one egg on Christmas and nowhere is open to buy more? Just.. hypothetically lol.

Id replace the water with orange juice and while hot maybe even some orange peel to seep and puree later. I love orange cranberry stuff. A lot. This is my next holiday dessert this next cranberry season. With of course the juice replacement. Im Giving Thanks.

HELP!?! I love this recipe and have made it 3 times now. However, each time, the sides of three crust slouch/slip down a bit during the baking and then I can’t fill it as full as I’d like because the sides are short. Suggestions? Would it help to refrigerate the crust in the tart pan before baking?

4 hours and it's still not set. I did make the mistake of leaving it in a really cold room so maybe it will just need to set overnight now that i've moved it to somewhere a bit warmer. Update: . It didn't set overnight either and I tried baking it for 30 mins at 175 degrees c. Still runny. I did use my own crandberry sauce recipe with other stuff added to it so maybe that makes a difference...

I tried using Arrowroot powder instead of cornstarch and the crust came out hard and kind of crispy. Do I need to use less Arrowroot powder or cut the baking time in half or both. Any help would be appreciated.

I made the tart crust twice. Both times the butter leaked out, the sides fell, and the crust was very greasy. Did anyone else have this problem or can anyone suggest a solution?

I made this and the curd didn’t set. I think it was because the cranberry mixture wasn’t hot enough when I put the eggs in, so be warned! Most other curd recipes have you cook the curd over a stove after putting the eggs in. Still tasted great :)

I recommend using a different crust recipe. I tried this recipe twice and both failed. Way too greasy and flat.

Go, Lan! I made this tart and it's fantastic. I didn't have a piping bag so I served whipped cream on the side so a less spectacular presentation but you got to see even more of the beautiful color. The texture is perfect. The flavor is intensely cranberry-y, and it wasn't too sweet (although I think I reduced the amount of sugar, which I almost always do in any recipe.) Side note: i don't have a food processor and I did it all with a hand mixer and it was perfect.

I've always thought cranberries were _so_ painfully underrated. I love them! I don't even care if it's splorped out of a can in jelly form, it's one of my favorites! So this year on Thanksgiving, I decided to make a cranberry-rosemary cheese Danish and BOY was it amazing. Omg. I can't put into words how delicious it was. So tart, so perfect. I *should* write down recipes, but I never do, but I'll do my best if anyone is interested 😊 It really is so good. Warm, just cooked, or even room temp after a couple of days. It's *heaven.*

I used my 9 inch spring form- it worked okay. The crust sides sagged a bit - didn’t make a rim so I placed a parchment collar to get a clean edge . Came out beautifully. Even my hubby who doesn’t like sweets much had a full slice. I had two😂

I made this and found it somewhat disappointing. The flavor wasn't nearly as tart as I was expecting and the curd didn't set as firm as in the video. If I were going to do again, I'd cut the sugar by at least 1/3 and add some extra pectin or gelatin to help firming.
