I made fish balls using the traditional method. After seeing your video I decided to try your method. It was so much easier and not that messy. The fish balls were tasty and “QQ”.Thanks so much! Make my life easier!

Thank you for this! I was wondering if you could make this with cod?

This is super useful. Most of store bought fish balls are filled with artificial flavor and preservatives. Home made is definitely better

Additional tip: Take any Fishbones left over and boil them slightly till the meat gets off. Take the bones and dry them. Then grind them up in a coffee grinder and add them to Salt. 1/3rd ground fish bones 2/3rd salt. This way you get a lovely incredibly delicious fish-salt. Add this back into the fish balls, increasing the flaver. Fry them in a small pan with some oil, to cover them half way, turn them so they fry from both sides. Take them out and make a sauce out of the oil, which enhances the flavour of the fish. The Fish will release some water so you have essencially a Fishy-seasoned base. Add in flour mixed with cold water (mix it before hand and add it together) and bring it to a boil. Maybe add some Soy, a little suggar and a bit of lemon. This way you have Fish bones with a nice fishy sauce and use nearly EVERY part of the fish.

Hi. Thanks for sharing your recipe. What kind of fish can I use to make this? Some fish smell very strong(fishy. Such as Ling fish) but good for making fish paste. I dont like Ling fish(baby shark), can I use snapper or red ruby? Thanks
@Seasaltwithfood3 жыл бұрын
You need "oily fish" for fish paste. For snapper or red ruby, the texture will be diff, you might hv to add extra addictive to make them bouncy.
