I have been receiving requests for this Cream Cheese Garlic Bread which is a popular Korean street food. I have to admit that they look so tempting.
My initial concern was that it may not be as good with Keto Bread which tends to be on the dense side. But I still gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be so good that I was enjoying it with my coffee. They're best enjoyed fresh for the crispy crust and creamy goodness. But I reheated some leftovers in my mini toaster oven and they were still good. The aroma of butter and garlic filled my house wonderfully during baking.
These Keto Cream Cheese Garlic Bread are filled with mildly sweetened cream cheese filling and loaded with buttery, garlicky and savory flavors. They are simply irresistible.

NUTRITION INFO PER SERVING
Total Carb = 11.5 g
Dietary Fiber = 6.6 g
Net Carb = 4.8 g
Calories = 509
Total Fat = 56.8 g
Protein = 12.9 g
FOR BEST RESULTS, WEIGH THE INGREDIENTS!
DRY INGREDIENTS FOR BREAD/BUN
Almond Flour = 180 g / 1 1/2 cup (You can also use any of my keto bun recipes - see Playlist)
Whole Psyllium Husks = 27 g / 3 tbsp (Ground until half its original volume then weigh it)
Baking Powder = 8 g / 2 tsp
Salt = 4 g / 1 tsp
WET INGREDIENTS FOR BREAD/BUN
Egg Whites = 3 large (107 g)
Apple Cider Vinegar = 15 ml / 1 tbsp
Hot or Boiling Water = 200 ml (2/3 cup + 2 1/2 tbsp)
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven at 350F or 180C.
2. In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
3. Add all the wet ingredients and mix until a dough is formed.
4. Divide the dough into 5 x 100 g portions.
5. Mold the dough into round shapes and place on a baking tray with parchment paper. Wet your hands for easier handling of the dough.
6. Bake for 30 minutes or until cooked. The buns are done when they feel light to the touch.
7. Cool completely.
INGREDIENTS FOR CREAM CHEESE FILLING
Cream Cheese (room temperature) = 180 g / 1 1/2 cup
Powdered Sweetener = 40 g / 5 tbsp (I used self-ground erythritol, but you can use any keto friendly powdered sweetener)
Salt = 1 to 2 pinches
Whipping Cream = 30 ml / 2 tbsp
DIRECTIONS
1. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese until creamy.
2. Add the powdered sweetener, salt and mix to combine.
3. Add the whipping cream and mix until smooth and creamy.
4. Transfer into a piping bag.
5. Cut the buns into 6 wedges but do not cut through the bottom.
6. Cut the tip of the piping bag off and pipe the cream cheese filling between the wedges.
7. If there is any leftover of the cream cheese filling, just pipe onto the top of the buns.
8. Set aside.
INGREDIENTS FOR BUTTER GARLIC SAUCE
Melted Butter = 150 ml / 2/3 cup
Whole Egg = 1 large
Whipping Cream = 50 ml / 3 1/2 tbsp
Minced Garlic = 2 to 4 tbsp (Depending how much you like garlic. I used more because I love garlic)
Salt = 3 to 4 tbsp (The sauce needs to be on the salty side as the bread will not absorb all of them)
Dried Parsley = 2 tbsp (You can also use fresh parsley)
DIRECTIONS
1. In a bowl, add all the ingredients and whisk until well combined.
2. Drizzle generously over the bread. You can also coat the bread by dipping into the sauce. If you have any leftover sauce, save it to make more cream cheese garlic bread or spread on your bread then toast it.
3. Try to open up the wedges as it will look nicer.
4. Bake at 350F or 180C for 20 minutes.
5. Enjoy them fresh with a cup of coffee.
6. The bread can be reheated with the mini electric toaster oven.

I made these today, I used fresh garlic cloves and 2 T was a bit too much for me, the garlic was overpowering. I didn't add the sweetener to the cream cheese because I don't like sweets and I think I put in 3 T salt and they were way too salty. BUT. They were still so good. I ate one and stayed full for hours. Great recipe, the creaminess of the cream cheese filling is scrumptious. I'll make it again and adapt to my own tastes. Thank you for such a fabulous idea!

This is a great recipe! The bread is so delicious. As in the recipe for the Garlic Sauce, I also found the amount of Salt to overpowering. I would recommend using 3-4 tsp Salt instead of 3-4 TBL. Still so delicious. Thank You

I thought sweetener taste will make it taste terrible! It did not do, The recipe has made me crazy :( it is so delicious I like it. Next time I am thinking adding some cooked spiced chicken with cheese filling; will keep you updated about the results too. Thank you for being in my life

os there any alternative for psyllium husk? would it work if ill use yeast instead of baking powder

Psyllium husk is the best natural replacement for gluten. It holds everything together and provides elasticity to shape the dough Without it, the bread will be crumbly with cake-like texture. Yeast is a leavening agent so the function is different.

At the description box, I mentioned that I used self ground Erythritol. But you can also use Lakanto or any keto friendly sweetener. It's easy to grind them until powdery. Or for convenience you can just buy the ready-made powdered sweetener but I feel that they are expensive

I know! It’s awful just terrible! I could hardly stand to watch him mix it, brings back very very bad memories from my early keto days. I now use a very awesome, wonderful yeast raised bun recipe with no nut flours or psyllium husks that has the taste and texture very close to normal buns and only 2 carbs. Perhaps I’ll use that one instead. Psyllium husk bread seems a bit archaic now. 😂

You could use zanthum gum but you would need less than the psyllium husk but not sure of the amount. I’m going to try making them today so I will let you know how they turn out.
