Trini Cooking with Natasha Yeah I did left it for 10mins. Only thing is that, the flour I used came from the fridge, I don't use flour often so I store it in the fridge. Can that be a factor? Should the ingredients all be at room temperature? Also I didn't use the brand for flour you did, didn't get it at the grocery store.

I am an experienced home baker who bakes all of my own breads and pastries. Why am I not able to make this recipe, following everything you demonstrate in the video, successfully? My roti will NOT swell! What am I doing incorrectly? I am so excited to be able to make these and want them to be authentic and perfect. Thank you so much for your feedback.....
@TriniCookingwithNatasha6 жыл бұрын
To be honest it does take a while to perfect so don't give up. Try letting it sit for 2 mins after rolling out before cooking try this and let me know.
@semajrn16 жыл бұрын
I have tried 4 times with 4 different batches since yesterday.. I did what you suggested and I also realized that when the dough is rolled out, and also when you are cooking it on the tawa, you have to be careful not to break the dough at all.. this allows the steam to escape, and therefore it prevents swelling.. so hopefully I can perfect this technique...thank you for your advice...
