Just got a Blackstone 36”. Last night and this morning were first cooks on it...pancakes and bacon last night, breakfast burritos this morning. Used your method with eggs, first pour down, then create the open spot in middle. Worked like a charm!

Bacon and pancakes then burritos! You're out here just killing it on your first few cooks. I literally just did plain burgers because I was a little too intimidated to do breakfast for my first cooks. Thanks so much for letting me know. Have any tips on how not to smell like oil/grease after cooking on the griddle ? I live our new griddle but don’t like smelling like I do afterwards
@JohnnyBrunet3 жыл бұрын
Hey Josh thanks for watching and commenting. Unfortunately I have worked in restaurants pretty much my whole life and still have not found a solution to this. My only suggestion would be a apron or if you really want to you could get a chef coat. They're big and made of thick material to protect you from the hot grease but also go on easy like a coat or jacket. So you could just slide it on while you cook then take it off afterwards and hopefully the smell doesn't follow you.

Hi Edward it depends what the top looks like. If it's been five years In sure there's some spots that need a little TLC. Id scrape off any rust with a scraper then ya I would season it one or two more times.

Every time I cook eggs on my griddle they get black from the griddle surface what do you do so this doesn’t happen?
@JohnnyBrunet3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, try turning it on and scraping it down with water/steam. Then wipe it with a towel to make sure there's no bits. If that doesn't work then your seasoning might be flaking off and you could try the seasoning the whole thing.
