HOW TO MAKE SOFT AND TASTY DHAL PURI || IN THE KITCHEN WITH LYNN

DHAL PURI IS A TYPE OF ROTI THAT HAS A FLAVOURFUL SPLIT PEAS FILLING AND CAN BE USED WITH ANY KIND OF COOKED CURRY eg:(chicken, beef,potatoes) EVEN WITH FRIED FISH OR ANY SIDES OF YOUR CHOICE.

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of flour
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsps baking powder
1 cup of warm water
FILLING:
1 cup split peas
3 cloves grated garlic
1 tsp roasted whole cumin / jeera
Salt to taste
Hot Pepper for flavour (optional)
Oil and Butter for basting

I love the texture so soft and silky. I learnt a new technique from you On how to roll the dough to fill in the peas that’s a good technique I have never seen before and it helps the peas to spread out evenly to the edges

I can’t get mine soft like this. By the next day it’s so tough. What am I doing wrong. By the way your recipe is the first I’ve seen used fat and in your dough and whole cumin seeds. I will keep trying. Thank you for sharing
