One thing I love about your channel is that you represent the entire Caribbean with your recipes. You never make it seem like your food is exclusive to Guyana...like some bloggers/youtubers make it seem like their food is exclusive to 🇯🇲 or 🇹🇹. We all eat the same delicious food. I'm definitely subscribing.

This is the most Beautiful cake. Packed with flavor. It's moist yet dense. Serve small slices .It truly sings holiday...but delicious for any occasion. 😋😋👍👍👍

I made this today and it turned out just how my grandma used to make! I did have to make a few changes though because I couldn't get some of the ingredients. Instead of currants I used dried apricots and instead of candied cherries I used marichino Cherries. I also used blackberry wine instead of rum. It turned out delicious. Also I split the batter between 3 9 inch pans that were about an inch and a half thick. They took about an hour and 45 minutes to cook.

I came to your channel after hearing David Lammy MP being interviewed on Test Match Special today. He'd brought in a black cake as a gift. Growing up I thought of the West Indies as a single place but as I got older I learned more about the Caribbean and realised that the islands as well as Guyana have some similarities but many differences too.
