Driver distance and control have been your Achilles heel in the past. Keep piping it 280 in the fairway, and your scores will get low real quick on those days where you've got the putter working. The work you're putting into your game is really paying off, it's fun to watch!

6 cap here…looks like the slightly closed stance has you aiming right off the tee which is where many of your well struck drives end up. Just an observation. I had the same issue…basically brought my lead (left) foot back to a more square address and I’m hitting more fairways than ever.

Driver looks much improved. What was the correction? Also to add, I shot low 80's forever until I learned what golf course management meant. Now, in teaching my son, one of the first questions we ask before we swing is where do we want to miss because odds are we hit more bad shots than good.

Welcome to Van! The public course in the best condition year round is Morgan Creek. The local Vancouver munis are also good layouts - Fraserview, McCleery, and Langara (I'd rate them in that order). University (privately owned, open to the public) is also a good layout. Kings Links is a cool links style course that's worth checking out. And finally, there's Northview Ridge that used to host a PGA event that's a very solid, tough layout!

If I remember correctly you used to hit 5 iron when 150 yards away in early videos? Is that right? If so what has helped you increase distances?
@NotAScratchGolfer2 жыл бұрын
Eh my 5-iron has always been a 170-ish club, it just depends on the lie/elevation, altitude, etc. There have definitely been times that I've hit it from only 150. I think I'm a bit more consistent with my irons than I used to be, though.
