I own a 67 BSA Lighning that when I got it, it had a 1973 British Columbia(Canada)government safety inspection decal on the neck of the already chromed frame. I combined that with a true candy apple red paint job, it gets tons of attention!

What a fantastic job on a beautifully made frame and cycle parts! That metal polisher is worth his weight in gold, that was a laborious task-how long did the polishing take? Brilliant informative video, I bet the owner of that frame was chuffed to bits…. Wow!😳

Great point! the weather protection is from the nickel layer. Think of copper as doing the same thing in plating that a high build primer does in paint. Not needed on this job.

What happens if you leave a part in the nickel plating tank for a way longer time? I am curious about that will it continue to get thicker? Will it get ugly? I like cause and effect type videos. You know "what if" type stuff. Its interesting to see experiment type stuff even if its a failure. Dont know if you would ever be interested in do some videos of experiment type but i would enjoy learning and seeing that type. KZbin is a place where people do try and test things out that dont make sense to typically do. And those videos do tend to do well. Throw on a white lab coat make a fun video!

Great Question. No need on this job as the brazing was superb with no chance of pin holes. If it was not perfectly sealed you would have to drill holes

There was absolutely no risk of hydrogen embrittlement on this job. It’s brand new steel and was not left in an acid bath for a long period of time.
