This is class! Have always had an interest in how this is actually done, thank you. Would there ever be a need for Epsom salts in the bath as have heard this being used but may be a myth/not needed?

Phil, working with a fighter with a large weight cut. I had a question about this video. How many rounds are we going for? Until the fighter has reached the desired weight or a certain number of rounds?

Great video coach. Do you do heat acclimation running up to fight week? Read some research recently about 30 min sauana sessions work well and you could stay hydrated while in the sauna as didn't affect the impact of it

I don’t think he mentioned How much weight can you drop like that?
@Kirk690_04 жыл бұрын
For me, i usually drop about 4-5 lbs for 20 mins in the tub an then 40 mins out and all wrapped up. I guess it depends how dehydrated you are to begin with, like if you have been water loading the week before, controling salt intake ect. My routine is usually, il either shadow box or jog for 15-20 mins in my sweatsuit an tracksuit, then perform the tub routine. This will usually be good for around 7lbs for me. Also, something i read by mma s&c coach eric wong, try to be sweating a little before you get in the bath, that way you arent suffering extra time while warming uo to get the sweat going. A few core exercises like planks will do the trick. Just my experience though, hope it helps 👍
@Kirk690_04 жыл бұрын
Also, the second time round its much more of a struggle, an i may only lose 2 lbs compared to the first time where its consistently about 4lbs.
