i really needed this. ive been depressed and anxious for years and i’m finally trying to get my life back but i think ive found comfort in my depression. comfort in doing nothing. comfort in avoiding people and places because i don’t want to deal with anxiety. but i’ve i realized that im never going to get anywhere unless i force myself to face my fears and get comfortable with being uncomfortable. so now i’ve promised myself that i will do that. i’m going to go to the gym. i’m going to get a job even though it terrifies me. i’m going to take better care of myself. because i know that doing those things will get me where i want in life. i refuse to let myself rot in misery any longer.

Working the cash register as a person who has social anxiety put me in a LOT of uncomfortable situations(not too good of an area either😂). But it is definitely making me a better person on all fronts. If you're in an uncomfortable situation keep going and a whole new world will open up to you.
@cyndriana Жыл бұрын
Omg, yes. I worked as a cashier for 6 months. It was definitely uncomfortable, but I'm glad I did it. I think it's also important to work in the right environment, the store I was at had constant malfunctioning cash registers and a stressful management which just added more anxiety to my anxiety.

I really needed to hear this. Late last year I got out of a relationship and my depression and anxiety has gotten the best of me... And I never used to be like how I am now. I'm tired of living day by day sleeping and not doing anything with my life. I want to go out and do things and hopefully make friends? I plan on joining a dance club and maybe get back into volleyball. Go to cafe's and bookstore or libraries, explore new places. Hang out with my friends family and maybe neighbors. 2024 here I come!

One of my biggest problems is being scared of stepping out of my confort zone. The thing is that I also overthink the past, it's so tiring when I play again and again all those scenes, when I analyze again and again... Thoughts can really destroy your life if you can't control them. Anyway, I won't let those thoughts control me and I'm willing to get my life together and to challenge myself, I'm focusing on my studies which are not so easy... ⚗️🩺 Sorry for my poor English, it's not my main language.
