How to rebuild Tri 5 Door Hinges

In this video we will show you how to rebuild your tri 5 door hinges. Door hinges are all the same for 55, 56, and 57 Chevys. You can follow this same principal for most other classic car rebuilds as all manufactures used similar bronze bushings.

What about grease on the pins so thjey dont wear the bushings out early??

They are bronze bushings and don’t require grease, but it wouldn’t hurt anything if you wanted to grease them.

I would search the internet and see, most of the companies that I have dealt with specialize in 55-57. Give Danchuck a call, yours may be the same size bushing, and if not I’m sure they could refer you to a company that has them. Good luck on your project.
