I'm very new to this smash bros and I still don't know how to recover after this video. I wish there was a controller icon where I know exactly what button to press. I see other videos where people are just fighting under the platform and still manage to get back on the platform ( recover )perfectly. Is there a tick to doing this because I try your technique and I'm still struggling.

Doing the same option AFTER your getup is a really big one that most people don't think about. Thanks for mentioning it! A lot of times I see people do normal getup and shield, so I can cover roll or jump and since I know they might getup and shield, once I see the normal getup I run in (after a getup attack would end, but before the opponent can shield drop) and grab.

For example, learn the angles at which Incineroar can Cross Chop down to ledge, or practice recovering downward with characters that can teleport. Btw love your content you beautiful banana boy you

On ledge trapping dont be afraid to take a breather before getting up on the stage. Almost always people want to keep the fast pace and so they will throw out a dash attack, or a charge smash (and the like) thinking you are going to get back up on the stage the moment you grab the edge. When they do this and you didnt try to immediately get back on the stage, they are vulnerable and you can punish them accordingly and even start edge guarding them
@Totsuzen5 жыл бұрын
id add another tip: dont just blindly drift towards the stage once youre off-stage. by letting go of the control stick at the right time or even drifting back a little you can avoid being punished without having to use your airdodge or double jump. that also prevents getting gimped by z-dropped items, like peach's turnips or link's remote bomb.

@bingusshlingus14425 жыл бұрын
Watch for his down-b and punish it with either a quick smash attack a combo. If yoshi is hogging the ledge,downward Ariel the bastard. Lastly,his side be is easy to punish,shield the first few hits and let go at the last ine,then punish. Hope it helps! :)
@sheadonyoshi75 жыл бұрын
You don’t. Yoshi committed tax fraud and is a dangerous dinosaur. You wouldn’t get out alive if you battled him. Wield yourself with a sword if you still want to go ahead with the attack. Yoshi and other characters that are naked 24/7 lose greatly to swords in matchups, so keep that in mind. Hopefully that helps, if you get badly injured, don’t cry to me that I didn’t help.
