Now the valances blend in and don't compete with my mid century modern color scheme of orange and aqua. OMG ... I think you just met your calling on KZbin. I NEED that pendant valance you're sitting next to! AND ... I have a different set up in my Grand Design. What came with ours are these pieces of wood with a hanging valance over it. We need to talk! I need your help figuring out what I can do! HATED it from the day I moved in here 2 years ago. But I'm not sure how to figure out how to change it. I think your pendant valance would be great for our main window, and then matching "somethings" on the rest. Can't wait for your next video.

Hedy, I'm so sorry I just saw this. Perhaps you already recovered yours. But, to answer your question, you must measure each side of your cornice boards and add them together. Then, I always add 25% for pattern matching. HTH's. Good luck!

How do they come off the wall?

Hi Melissa, thanks for watching. They are attached to the wall with two screws up inside the top corners. Be careful not to strip out the screw holes.

HINT: Remove valance; remove padded fabric covering. Recover with HD vinyl wallpaper/counter material (NOT fabric); and staple/glue it into place (or get peel n stick, even better!) for a flush/sleek look; and instead of having to deal with cleaning a stationary fabric item (good luck with THAT, eh!) all u have to do is a quick damp cloth swipe! voila! cheap, easy to install and clean, and looks great. enjoy! another blonde solution...

Sorry about that Heather. This was one of my first videos. Sometimes in smaller RVs, the lighting and position wouldn't work as in this case. Also, I don't have all the ritzy video equipment like booms and camera stands. I literally took this video with my iPhone. I thank you for watching though. Travel Safe!

How did you get them off the windows? Did they just slide off? Screwdriver?

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for watching! Dan removed them with a screw driver. They typically are held onto the wall with screws. You'll need an 8" extended bit if you're using an electric driver to get up inside the cornice board to reach the screws. HTH's. Be well.
