Omg even at 10x speed it's too long, boring + full of "no one cares" repetitive chatter..

Fabulous information, thank you so much! I own a Great Perinees/Border Collie cross. She is a guardian to our farm family and near by neighbors. When coyotes approach the area at night,..the chase is on, through brush and trees. When she returns, it can take 1 to 3 hours to remove the burrs. I use a steel flea comb. The cornstarch has been an incredible help!

Hi there I have a doodle that is a farm dog covering acreage We keep him close cut in the season of summer and because he’s a retriever mix so he is always after the ground squirrels 😂 I have found that at the end of a busy day of being himself I grab some coconut oil and easily pull out the sticky burrs I know the corn starch method works too but I wanted to let y’all know that this is also an option and it is soothing to their body

Perfect timing! Our doodle, Tanner comes in with all of these little green burrs everyday and I spend the evening combing them out. I used the Chris Christensen slicker brush tonight and it also did a great job. I have more to work on in the morning as Tanner was getting tired and grumpy. Overall though he’s been great about it.

Thank you. I never would have thought of powdering my burr-coated doggie. After 2 hours of work I have cut off perhaps half of the burrs, so now I have a new method to try that will preserve her dignity (fur). She has been knawing and tugging at herself, little blobs of her fur (& burrs) over the floor. Yikes.

Thank you so much the grass is drying up in Northern Cali. And my German shepherd is a vary curious 2year old this little trick really amazed me as soon as I put the corn starch on And just ran my fingers through his coat the fox's tails just started popping off of curious I still combed him good and about to bathe him as soon as it warms up a little. And see how I did. I was wondering if I left it in the corn starch, that is, would it be safe to do it? I ask this because. As soon as I was dun I got a call and had to run to the store sic I can get there fast on My bike then my car I took off with tank on my heals everything was was good till tank spotted someb deer and away he went he has never done that before.... when I got back home, he was wighting for me and to my . I was not only not happy about his behavior but all my hard work ( made easy thanks to you) had been undone. I reached down to feel the damage and there was not one fox tail where I pasted my hand in all the key areas though I got a total of about 20. And he was still breathing heavily when I arrived. I'll shut up now lol so can or can't you leave it in as a definite frunt line defense against fox tail. Short term long term effects would be good thanks hope to hear from you soon.

Does it have to be a metal comb ? I'm away from the house, and unfortunately didn't bring one. I have a fine toothed flea comb with me

If the fur is wet and your shampooing it and find stickies use a little olive oil and they will come right out. You don't have to wait until they're dry and then just reach a the area

I’m new here. I have a 6 pound Maltese and need all the help I can get on caring for my new 4 yr old baby. She got into some burrs today around her eye and face. Her eye was completely shut. I carefully used a flea comb to remove these. I saw someone using coconut oil on her dogs. I’ll try both the coconut oil & corn starch to get the remaining few out of her coat.

Gently pull the hair attached to the burrs apart. In doing so, you’ll rip the burr into pieces and separate the fur binding to the plant. It hurts the dog less than just brush brush brush, which just pulls the hair.

Omg. I’m going through this right now! Only I don’t have any of the cool tools you have…no metal comb, no table, no way to keep her in one place, and no forced drier. Ugh! I think I’m going to have to invest in a grooming asap. Poor little Daisy!

OMG why can't people just provide info without sharing tons of personal details that NOBODY cares about? Then there's the repetitive over instructing - we aren't stupid so you don't need to speak slooooowly and repeat the same thing 5 different ways.. 20min to give 2min of info. We don't care. Them there's the Muzak.
