Thanks Tony. I just had to do this recently on a reunion cab. Its the first time I had to do all 4 sides! Terrible water damage. I use the same method as you with the biscuits etc. For the nails and cleanup of the blocking I use an oscillating multi tool. Works out great. Looking forward to the next vid!

Troy looks great I had to do something similar with my Taito cabinet (12 inches), only difference I used dowels with a jig. Looking forward to the rest of the restore.

Dude that was awesome, I would be crapping myself sawig the bottom six inches off like that but it just shows that it's possible to do a better job than wood hardner and bondo alone. That bottom was chewed up bad so this looks like it's gonna turn out amazing

I see people cut that bottom edge off so no need to route the groove or use the table saw like you did and they biscuit join the bottom edge to the new side piece you’re adding. I think your way gives more strength, thanks for sharing this video

Thank you and yes, you can do it both ways. I just try to keep it as original as possible.

@@troylukans2174 great work, that track saw I’m going to buy! I have a huge issue with cutting straight and had given up! I have my brother in law cut all my wood. This track and adapter for saw looks great! I will get one and also share with my brother in law because he likes to cut straight and has always done by hand with squares and what not. By the way, love harbor freight!

@@AmazingArnoldVoice that’s awesome. I’m glad that will help. Menards is where I got it from and I always go to HarborFreight. I don’t care what people say I can do just as good a job with their tools as I can with snap on it’s all about bragging rights and I’m not afraid to use HarborFreight.

@@troylukans2174 agreed on the harbor freight thing, anything I need…inexpensive ratchet clamps, paint brushes, extension cords, screw drivers, you name it, their stuff is inexpensive and just works

Hello Troy, I was wondering if you want to try your cordless Mic for this series. I think I remember you saying you got one but you didn't try it yet. Just asking. Thanks for sharing..

Do the sides get more water damage than the front because they are seldom repainted?

I think it all depends on where it is sitting when it happens

Nice job. How do you like that 6.5 harbor freight Bauer circular saw? I was looking at that one and curious how long one battery will last? For less than $80 I wasn’t sure if it’s worth having

That’s actually the 7 1/4 inch one and it works really well. I have all Dewalt tools for work and all the Bauer tools in my shop and they’re pretty comparable.

@@troylukans2174 hey Troy thanks. Yeah I work on cabinets too and just didn’t want something that will have a dead battery after an hour And you have to watch certain brands they get you when it comes time to get a 2nd battery that can be expensive
