My mjjc pro v2 foam cannon has stopped producing thick foam. When i used the adjuster knob and turn it all the way clockwise, it pushes out runny soapy water. When i twist it anti-clockwise a bit, then it starts producing foam again but not very thick. I have performed all steps to clean the steel ball, the mesh was replaced. Did everything but it still doesnt work.

Sorry to hear. I wonder if your poor foam cannon has just seen better days and has died on you? Would be unfortunate for a bit of a pricey product.

About how long of time would you recommend changing it since I use it more then often to detail ??

Really on an as needed basis. If you start to see that its getting clogged, either clean or change. I think the best thing to do is make sure you shoot fresh water thru the foam cannon after every wash so residual soap isnt stuck in the foam maker/foam cannon

How do you know when it's time to change the filter? Is it obvious, less foam or less flow?

Yeah if you're starting to see the foam cannon perform worse than before, then it'd be a good idea to at least look at the mesh filter and/or change it.

@@mygt8a4re Make sure after every wash that you're blasting clean water through your foam cannon before you put it away. This will help keep your mesh filter and 1.1 orifice cleaner and help to keep it unclogged.

Generic to my knowledge. If you're not sure, probably the best way would be to take out your mesh filter to see what it looks like before buying a replacement product.

Its going to impact how fluffy the foam comes out. I believe coarse will give it a more airy, foamy consistency.

what's the mesh filter for? could you just pull it out and keep it out?

It agitates the water/soap mixture as it's coming out of the foam cannon. You could leave it out, but then the foam cannon wouldn't work correctly and you wouldn't get foam. The mesh filter helps to make the soap turn into foam and make it nice and fluffy as it exits the foam cannon.
