This video shows you how to install a new vapor purge valve or purge valve solenoid on your 2015-2019 Hyundai Sonata. Vapor purge valves are an important part of the EVAP system that allow the contained fuel vapors to be released into the combustion chamber under certain conditions. Modern purge valves are controlled by the vehicle’s computer system, and electronic solenoids. Failure of the valve or the control solenoid will result in an emissions trouble code that could prevent passing emissions testing.

Good video, and please don't take offence to this, but I understand using an Impact for quick disassembly, however I don't agree with the impact or drill when securing the electrical connectors to the battery. This can can cause over tightening and mushroom the terminal as well as stripping out the threads of the positive and/or negative terminal. There is a lot of torque in those impacts, better to hand tighten.

I have a 2012 Kia Soul with a 1.6 Gamma GDI. I know not everything is in the same place, but will the canister purge valve be in a similar location?
