Trust I learned the hard way that the food court is a HUGE waste of $$, needless to say Camp Carroll DEFAC was my bestfriend.

Great advise. I've saved over 500 dollars in one month basically budgeting and saying no to myself for things I don't need.

Matthew Pough thats good! Keep at it and you’ll be saving even more

Great video man, I know a lot of my soldier's issues stemmed from trouble with their finances. Which was a shame to see because of a lot of those individuals were great soldiers until money issues brought an incredible amount of stress into their life. The more educated military leaders and soldiers are on money the better off everyone will be

Life of Brendan I appreciate it bro! & yeah I see that with some of my joes as well. One time we even held a finance briefing and they didn’t take advantage of it.

Just out of curiosity, how many soldiers actually live in the barracks, not the houses they provide on bases but actual barracks?
@Jabarikjay4 жыл бұрын
All the single junior enlisted and single officers and senior leaders

Im enlisted and if you're going to school full time you get FAFSA ontop of your TA. Which is extra money for laptop etc.

AirmaNGonzo pending if you get a refund check, some people didn’t but I did because of rotc
@saulsoto913 жыл бұрын
You can be active duty and go to school full time at the same time?
@LTGONZ03 жыл бұрын
@@saulsoto91 Yeah, I got 7K in FAFSA while using my TA over 2years...Yeah you can be a fulltime student and active duty simultaneously. I finished my undergraduate degree while working full time in the maintenance field. So it can be done, but you wont ha e a life for the time being 🤣🤙🏾
@saulsoto913 жыл бұрын
AirmaNGonzo Wow... I had no clue that could be done I was always told it’s best to take 1-2 classes a semester.
@LTGONZ03 жыл бұрын
@@saulsoto91Yeah they dont tell you a lot of things, but it's not their fault because most leadership just doesn't know themselves. I just did my homework and found a solid school that was compatible with my workload.it all depends on the amount of workload you can fit into your life and what school you choose.

Hey Jay My name is Briana I am in army ROTC rn as a ms 2 and I was wondering do you believe you need a car in the military as a second LT also do you think its better to live on base or off base to save money.
@Jabarikjay3 жыл бұрын
It all depends. If you’re overseas you don’t need one. Stateside yes. As an LT especially where I’m at they work us till the sun comes up. I move around a lot and have meetings in different places so I need a car. As far as staying on or off post It depends on the base. Whether or not they’re apartments are decent and better than the ones off post, do you want more privacy, etc. I can make a video if you want
@brianabellamy26613 жыл бұрын

seem like it would be easy to save money in the military since you don't pay rent. I pay $715 in rent so if I was in the military I would have an extra $715 a month. I hear you can eat free at the mess saw. Oh yeah gym is free.
