I'm not sure if you completely understand how wonderful it is for Argentineans that people from abroad come and enjoy their country. Mainly because there's been a couple of rough years economically speaking and seeing by other eyes enjoying their country is a great feeling. Argentina was built by working European emigrants, this is why they want to make people feel welcome and make your visit the most memorable possible.

It is so lovely to feel so welcomed when travelling, Argentina has been one of the friendliest places we’ve ever been ☺️

What a beautiful day driving around nature, sounds like a great idea to hire a car instead of going on a tour bus. How amazing is that view of the last lake 😍🤩

We would choose a car every time if we could but this route is so relaxing and scenic the freedom to enjoy it is the best! 🤩

Hey guys, this was such a lovely vlog 🥰 the scenery at each lake was so pretty. The reflection of the sky and clouds at Lago Faulkner 😍...and the views at the last one...wow 🙌 The change in weather surprised me for some reason! It is pretty cool you can visit them all in a day.

Wow - the scenery there is absolutely amazing. And it's so cool that there are 7 (or 8 if you're being technical) lakes so close together. I like the tip about hiring the car and going at your own pace so you can spend time where you want rather than where the tour would take you. The history and stories along the way are so interesting too - but honestly it's so pretty there, I would be happy just sightseeing in the area. It would be so much fun to get out on some of those lakes in a kayak or boat. Kirsty - you gotta keep your head out of Craig's view of the signs! How dare you 😂😅

Days like this we wish more than ever we had a camper, could have just stayed somewhere along the way and relaxed for days, kayaking and adventuring at different lakes. How dare I block the sign with my crazy windswept hair! 🤣

Amazing lakes- the drive looked beautiful too. It’s great when you capture the mirror images on the lakes! I wondered if lake Correntozo, Nr Villa Angostura, was where Angostura bitters were named after but No that’s in Venezuela apparently! Wonderful scenery. FAB you’re ‘living your dream’. 👍

Hey you two! Thanks for taking us along to this incredible tour! Unfortunately political issues can cause last minute changes in plans, happened to us a few times with Turkey 😔the nature and scenic views are just so peaceful and lovely. Seems like you did a lot of driving! Can't wait to visit ourselves one day!

We were pretty sure we’d never get over there but worth a try considering how close we are, politics hey! 😅 The seven lakes route is so beautiful and enjoyable to drive along.

Great video. Super to see you so animated and positive. Making me want to do it in January... Question... Where did you hire your car from? At what sort of price?
@TideKnotTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, it’s a beautiful place to drive around although car hire in Argentina is quite expensive, we went to about five different hire places and got ours from Da Car in Bariloche high street. We show it here in this video along with the price: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZ2cdauVnpWDZrs I think it was around £40 per day. Enjoy you’ll have a fantastic time!

Okay I realize this may or may not be an impossible question haha. But if you HAD to choose between Bariloche, Mount Fitzroy, and Perito Moreno... Which would you choose first (and second)? 😏 I'm going to be living/working in BA for a month Oct-Nov and want to do a couple trips away from the city, but probably won't be able to do it all this time around sadly
@TideKnotTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Ok, so if you have just a short weekend break (2 days) we'd recommend doing Perito Moreno in El Calafate as you can do it in one day. For El Chalten that is probably worth doing at least 3 days there (long weekend), it's a hiking destination and a beautiful little place to arrive and just walk out of your front door into nature but there's a few trails you'll want to do plus great restaurants to visit while you're there. If you had 5 days you could combine El Calafate (perito Moreno) and El Chalten in one trip as the bus runs twice daily between the two towns. Bariloche again would recommend a long weekend with at least 3 full days and a hire car to get around it all. You'll have an amazing time whichever trips you fit in. Perito Moreno and Fitzroy hike are two sights that will just stay in our minds forever, truly breathtaking! Hope that all helps. 😊
