It's so nice to hear your top 5 picks in Argentina as we definitely won't have a full 3 months there like you guys. These places look so amazing though. We can't wait to explore them all although that Mount Fitzoy hike does seem a bit intimidating.

You guys could totally do Fitzroy! Just get a good rest beforehand. We actually extended our visas and stayed longer than 3 months and still nearly ran out of time 😅

This was a great list and overview of all your top sights in Argentina! I'm not a city person these days either - I prefer being away from the hustle and bustle - I sound so old!! 🤣 The waterfalls and landscapes looked incredible. I'd love to do that hike. Another top thing would be the glacier - what a sight to see! I bet it was so difficult to narrow down this list. My hubby likes the accessible option at the end. Great overview!!

This is a wonderful guide for the future travelers of Argentina (including us!) Iguazu falls is simply breathtaking! Haha yeah beware of the monkeys! Seeing the glacier is no doubt the best experience you guys had -it's just unbelievably beautiful. Such spectacular views!

Absolutely LOVE Argentina! Such a great video… absolutely loved Salta and the Jujuy region! I actually hitchhiked up there and across into Bolivia, so I can really attest to the altitude challenge!

Wow! How exciting that you hitchhiked it all, throughout our time we have only successfully hitch hiked once for 10 minutes 😂 the altitude certainly doesn’t seem to get any easier with each high place we reach!

It must’ve been so hard to pick just 5 after all the beauty you’ve showed us 😅 We’d definitely love the vibe in BA! But then all the beautiful views in Salta 😍 The falls are just stunning! And the boat tour looks like a must-do 🤗 the hike would be totally worth it 🥰 But that glacier though, well deserved as your top spot! It’s just spectacular!

I love your videos, they're absolutely stunning and very nice to watch! I'm also very glad that you enjoyed your stay in our country, and we really look forward to having you back soon!! Do you mind if I ask you a very specific question? What kind of trainers did you use during the Mount Fitzroy / El Chalten hike? I tried to do it some years ago, and I even bought some special trekking trainers, which was a horrible mistake because, after walking for a couple of hours, my feet were killing me and I had to quit!

Thank you, we loved travelling Argentina ☺️ That’s such a shame that you had to stop the hike due to painful boots. We each have boots that we’ve had for a while (Mammut & Kalenji) but they key thing we have found with hiking boots is to wear them in first. We did several trial walks in them before we packed them for travel. Initially mine rubbed the back of my ankles raw so (after they recovered) I switched up socks and put a plaster on my ankles where they rubbed, after a few more trial walks the boots adjusted (or maybe my skin did too) but now I can wear without plasters and with any socks and can walk for hours in them comfortably. Sorry for a super long answer but hope that helps! In short wearing them in patiently seems key ☺️

@@TideKnotTravellers Thaks for your answer, guys !!! I'll keep your advice in mind because I really want to do the hiking to El Chalten and see that incredible lake with my own eyes. And, as you suggest in the video, I'll do it in two days, so that I can face the last part of the hike with more energy... Best wishes for you and your loved ones !!!

Thanks so much for sharing your Argentina highlights! I'm planning a trip to Argentina next month and all your videos have been really helpful. This might be a bit of a stretch but Im trying to get from Patagonia (El Calafate) to Iguazu - domestic flights are so expensive! How did you travel between cities? Is it possible to book domestic flights once in the country using the blue dollar as a foreigner? Any insights/tips greatly appreciated, thanks!
@TideKnotTravellers
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
Yes the flights in Argentina are so expensive, it is something that everyone talks about in the travel groups and I think some people tried to book with Aerolinias Argentinas using cash and weren’t allowed to but we didn’t try so can’t say for sure. We only took 2 domestic flights in Argentina and took buses the rest of the time as it’s so expensive. If you have limited time you’re probably best to fly from El Calafate to Iguazu, but if you’re travelling the country then we’d recommend taking your time and saving money with buses and see the places along the way. Sorry for the long answer but hope that helps! Either way you’ll have a great time it’s an incredible country! Let us know if you have any other questions ☺️

@@TideKnotTravellers This is so helpful, thanks for sharing your insight! I feel less guilty about splurging on domestic flights now knowing I probably cant get them cheaper using the blue dollar. I’m flying in from Los Angeles to Santiago, then to Puerto Natales. Im debating if I should spend a day in Santiago, or if the time would be better spent in Patagonia. In your opinion, is Santiago Chile a must see, even if it is just for day?
@TideKnotTravellers
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
@@rachelshimizu Santiago is a busy metropolis (we have a video of it coming very soon in the new year) you could get a good taste in one day and there’s some cool things to see and eat. All that being said, if you have limited time in Patagonia you might want to allocate the time there, it depends on your preference but personally we choose nature over cities generally and Patagonias nature is just incredible, we extended our time there. In short Santiago is great but it’s a city, the complete opposite of Patagonias fresh mountains 🌆🏔

@@rachelshimizu I recommend you check out the local low cost airline Flybondi. I've flown with them in Argentina and they are a good airline, and much cheaper than Aerolineas Argentinas.

There are flights at the same price as the bus by reserving it a few months in advance, there are also dates on offer, maybe if the trip is scheduled in a few months I can book some flights now.

Hey! I'm going to Argentina on the way to Antarctica in Feb, and we're doing Iguazu falls - just wondering if you just rocked up to the park and bought the ticket for the boat ride or would you need to book in advance?
@TideKnotTravellers
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
We just booked it when we arrived at the park. You go inside and there are little stands, just walk up and buy one. They sell out as the day goes on especially in low flow season as there are less tours. The Brazilian side does more boat tours it seems but not sure if you’ll be able to do both sides at the moment. Enjoy! How long are you spending in Antarctica?
