Great secateurs and my wife has a few pairs but as I’m the maintenance man. I strip them down after every use and clean off with clothes soap as it’s cheaper for one and really deep cleans, then protect.

Great video, needs a tiny slow down / expanded view of the very last bit that you put together: the thumb catch that closes the secateurs when not in use - the little washer goes on the handle and then the catch and screw. But this is not clear from the video (but is clear to see from the Felco packaging). I also use an unfolded paperclip to get dirt out of various holes that get full of gunge after cleaning. Have you considered selling the Niwaki Crean Mate? A great eco-friendly invention, saves on all the plastic and petro chems associated with solvent cleaners etc. Thanks for a great video. 2 pairs cleaned yesterday!

Good point regarding the washer - in hindsight, i should have zoomed in on that bit. In regards to the Niwaki Crean, we only sell Felco products, but I will look into that nevertheless

What to do if the locking washer won’t come loose @13 seconds in? I’ve used penetrating oil and some heat but it won’t budge at all even with the right tool as shown.

Hi Snailboy5610, there must be some grit in there somewhere. Instead of the tool i would suggest trying some grip or pliers on the flat side of that centre cog and seeing whether you can undo it that way. Alternatively the official Felco website offers servicing, which is reasonably priced too - details can be found here - www.felcoservicing.co.uk/
