Use the vpn app on the computer if you want the entire system to utilise vpn. But if you dont want that, and just want the vpn to work only while browsing, use the extension. So, only ur browser works on vpn while the rest of your computer works without vpn.

On the Macbook if I don't use the Chrome extension, the VPN app even if activated doesn't cover the browsing, is it normal?

@@SurfsharkAcademy yup, now it works, I've just signed in and initially it was working only with the Chrome extension turned on, now the app is enough. What is the purpose of the extension then?
