Question.. My mother is hard of hearing. She like to listen to her headphones because she can hear the TV better. However, when plugged into the headphone jack, no sound comes out the tv speakers. So no one else can listen to the TV at the same time. Unless they unplug the headphones and listen to the tv volume all the way up so mother can hear it. Do you know of a good solution for this? She just got a new Pioneer smart tv for Christmas.

My setup is smart tv》S.M.S.L DL100 dac preamp》yamaha as 501. I want to use a wiim to stream instead of the TV. My question is how do I power the wiim with usb C? Do they make a wall wart to usb c that can power it? Phone charger?

Thanks for the informative video! I am going to add a mini this week. It will hook up with the optical out to my preamp. I would like to just use the preamp to control volume. Is there a "Fixed" volume output setting on the mini, or should I just max the volume on it?

In a wifi connection, Does the wiim get audio data from the phone or from the internet?

Wifi comes from the router not the phone for streaming. You could turn the phone off and it would still play

Thanks, great video and a very clear explanation of the Wiim Mini and its set up. And the use of two Minis from one device (iPhone) is perfect for our setup---outdoor "party" speakers around the pool and separate great room speakers, each driven by their own classic stereo amps, which would use the RCA outputs you describe. One thing I didn't see--or missed--you covered Music Services selection in the app but our music source will be our Apple Music app on the iPhone sourcing either our subscription Apple Music Service or a large personal music Library on the phone from decades of our ripped CDs. Can that be streamed from the Mini as simply as you described for your Spotify? I didn't see Apple Music as a source as you scrolled services. Thanks again.
