You may not have a supported modem for your router. If you have a spectrum 2020 modem it should work however it all depends on your Internet Service Provider.

There needs to be an RJ-45 standard ethernet cable from your modem's port to your router's "internet" port. Ethernet cables can be up to 100m (328 ft) in length.

The router only makes it so you can directly connect to the internet either through WiFi or direct Ethernet wire connection. You must have an Internet Service Provider (ISP) like Time Warner or Spectrum as well as a cable modem.

Yes. WiFi will broadcast internet signal up to a certain distance. The farther away and more walls the Wifi has to penetrate, the slower the WiFi could be, hence getting a WiFi extender. But that is only necessary if you find that you cannot connect to the WiFi in your bedroom.

A cable modem. Some ISPs provide you with a router-modem hybrid, but the XR500 is only a router.

If you want internet access, you first need an active service plan from an internet provider. A router by itself cannot give you internet access. You can all the wifi you want, but none of the devices can go to the internet if you don't have internet service.

I fully understand how to trouble shoot your issue of misprinting the port input labels on the back, and also know how to use a solvent such as rubbing alcohol to remove the leftover sticker and residue. FraayzeR sorry, but I would have to disagree with that. When I try to prioritize my PS4 only, it shows the device name but when you look under service is says Xbox? That does not make any sense to me. I should say PlayStation network. I own the netduma r1 as well and I have had good gameplay on it, but the XR500 not so much. I’m kind of disappointed honestly. Maybe a video showing what every single setting and features do would be helpful?

Im not an expert however i would suggest you unplug all the cables for your router and modem and follow the instructions from the beginning of the video. In other words just reboot your router and modem by unplugging everything and plugging it back in as directed in the video. Hope this helps!
