Tony, I have a bit of a unique situation. I have mild cerebral palsy, meaning my balance is problematic and my ability to perform reasonable footwork is very limited to non-existant. I'm mostly concerned with self-defense, but do you have any suggestions for how to make up for that significant disadvantage, or how I might go about compensating and building the best footwork I possibly can?

Man i have been slacking on watching some Tony Jeffries videos. Going through a rough time in life but then again who isnt these days. Boxing is my only Therapy. Its my only escape from the world. Where i can just focus on me, myself and i. No responsibilities other than improving my body. To me, boxing is my Paradise. The only thing i regret in life is not starting when i was younger. Its still hard to watch boxing without my Father. If i had one more day with him id take him to a boxing match. Something we always wanted to do but never got the chance. I love Boxing. Now to become a Tony Jeffries 2.0.

Forgetting almost everything I'd learnt. I can't thankyou enough for producing such a lengthy well explained and broken down easily to follow guide. Such a well thought out piece of content that I will be using to learn from. After warming up I am solely focusing on footwork and learning a stable basis to expand upon. Thankyou brother!

This is a great video man. This is all good for pro fighters in the ring. I would just add to all your tips, if you ever want to shadow box practice for street defence practice palm strikes and slaps instead of hooks instead of closed fists and do everything else the same, because much less chance of injure your hands. This is advice that i would give anyone but especially to boxers, because you box with closed fists all your life in the ring but that is dangerous on the street with 0 protection. On the street you dont have gloves and also bandages to protect your hands from breaking if you miss and hit hard parts of the head like forehead or like elbow. With palm strikes you dont have to aim as much on the street, you can hit a guy even on his forehead and it wont break your fingers or wrist. That is what is amazing about palm strikes and you will also be surprised how much power you can have in palm strikes and slaps especially , they can be as strong as the hooks . And the best thing you dont have to be super accurate on chin, you can just aim to hit the head anywhere to shake the brain basically.
