You can shrink your stomach naturally with discipline and self control. I used to eat the same amount of food in 1 meal that now would be what I eat for a whole day. After that, you don't really need that much food. It's not starving yourself. It's training your body not to store fat.
@alicia-hd2cs2 жыл бұрын
Please tel me how you can strengthen self control. I eat very healthy so that is of no issue for me, but boredom eating is too hard to overcome.
@Udjeox2 жыл бұрын
@@alicia-hd2csSelf control in your head is so important and remind yourself everyday when you're hungry why you are doing the weight loss. You must be ready for the weight loss meaning you are at the stage of your life where weight loss can change your life. People going into weight loss that's are not committed cuz they're not ready will not be successful. Your reason must be more important than food. Your weight loss must be your number one goal cuz it's very hard thing to achieve. It's harder than university. For me, is to be more attractive so I don't get bully anymore. Your reason must be so important that you'd rather starve and shaking than eating more food. tell yourself that your life will change when you loose weight. My life did change when I'm more attractive now. Put away food in sight. Lock them or donate them. If you don't have any food sitting around you can't eat. If you don't see food you don't crave food. Reward yourself with things other than food. I used to go to restaurants to reward myself for any reason. Now I use the money to buy clothing or anything else other than eating. Don't load your counter and pantry with food. Clear them out. When you go to the mall for example, make sure you are full first. Take a different route if you know the food court is ahead. Don't hang out with people in eating meetings. You'll stuff your face. Skip those meetings. At work, do not go to the kitchen and eat sweet people brought in. Stay away so you don't see the food. Don't let people near you persuade you into going out eating with them. It's your goal not theirs. My own parents and husband don't even care about my goal. When your head tell you to go eat cuz you're bored or whatever reason, remind yourself why you want to lose weight. And again your goal must be very important to you to overcome the hunger.

So I went to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack 12 yrs ago. Dr said 3 meals plus two small snacks and the cardiologist gave me an explanation of why fasting g for long periods was dangerous for my health. Followed his program combined with walking and lost 120 pounds. Fasting is used in many cultures but in many it's not permanent it's used for short periods of time. People don't address what happens to your stomach for example gastritis which I know happens when you don't eat for long periods of time. Haven't addressed what happened s to people which need to take medication during fasting hours, haven't addressed diabetics (which I was told specifically not to fast by the cardiologist and internist). So the fasting fad in all of its modalities I don't think is always healthy are appropriate for all, also what about the age of the person or the climate they live in? Fasting in hot weather is not the same as fasting in moderate climates, what about fluid consumption? Careful thinking is required when suggesting things, most overweight people require desperate so we don't want additional problems.

Fasting is not a fad, it is a rediscovery of how our ancestors ate for tens of thousands of years. The “eat small meals frequently, with lots of whole grains” diet is the fad. Forgive me for saying this but your doctor’s idea of “fasting” is inaccurate. The point of fasting is to reduce insulin/insulin resistance to allow for fat burning (gluconeogenesis) and autophagy. Eating five meals a day is going to keep your insulin levels ridiculously high so it defeats the point. The thing about diabetes is completely wrong too. Eating 2 meals a day, low in carbohydrates (including fruit, oats and wholemeal flour) and richer in animal sources, is guaranteed to reverse T2D. If you want i can send you a couple of the 50+ credible videos proving this.
@Jefe-qh8kd6 ай бұрын
Fasting causes none of these problems for 90% of all people. Quitting at the first sign of anything uncomfortable is up to the individual. Your cardiologist giving nutrition advice is iffy at best.
