Ha ! The Mighty Sager - just look at her go through the wood pile. Most excellent indeed. Sitting behind my desk at work watching Ol Buckin golf swinging the Sager makes me want to head out to the trees and get me a chord or two of wood.

Buckin' I said it before, I'll say it again, the Poulan Pro which a lot of people hate, I've had two of them, sold my PP4218A to my best friend. Had it for three years, worked flawless, have my Sthil's which I love, just missed having the Poulan around. Great for bigger girth Trees. All I need is a 16- 20'' bar for the trees around me. Great homeowner saw, it's not a pro saw, but that doesn't mean, they're bad saws. Poulan is a good off brand of Husqvarna. That's why I support and love Sthil and Husqvarna. Saved me a lot of money and has become such a passion of mine.

Oh Buckin', it made my heart feel so good to see Brian bucking that wood with that chainsaw. Sign him up in the Buckin' Army and make him a general...what a grand old fella! The concept of this idea is fabulous and heartwarming. The axes sure worked great but lets not forget that it was the MAN behind the axe that made them perform. I got blisters on my hands from just watching you LOL! Oh to be young and strong again! Have a blessed week and love to all from deep in the heart of Texas, John

The older gentleman reminds me of my dad; he’s 72 years old and retired, but he has a 365 and a 395...he even has the one-handed stihl to go up in the trees 🌲 I just discovered your channel last week and I’m sawing through all your content. I’m just a guy with a curious mind and rough hands...not a professional at all...but you’ve taught me so much already. Also, you have a great attitude and an awesome setup! Love all those McCulloch saws...what a sound! Keep putting out all the great content. Cheers from Quebec!

Poetry in motion! It was your mention of skinny handles that caught my attention. I like them because just the right grip and flex seems to spare me aches and soreness. I tune bought or built, and if it's used to split, I usually add a rawhide collar to counteract any clumsiness on my part. Maybe I should see if I can stumble across a double bit.

Man that mcculloch sounds like my old pioneer. I haven't run it in at least a decade. I'm going to have to see if I can clean out the carb and get it running again. That thing was a beast! It's a p40 if I remember right, ran every bit as good as my 041 stihl. I used to love pulling that saw out while cutting with other people and showing them up.. Tuned up with a sharp chain that baby will absolutely fly through wood.

I got a little jealous watching you swinging axes while im stuck at work! 😝 I handled and HB that i was really proud of and it looked really pretty! However, I only put a wood wedge in it. Held fine but didn’t have much mushrooming. Put some round wedges in and now it’s really ugly but got tons of mushrooming!! This axe will now outlive me before coming off handle! Thanks for the great advice brother!!

I guess they didn’t put such restrictive mufflers back then. Hence why the scream and why the cut. My buddy has a husky 359. Cut good, so we played with the muffler and gave it a duel port, damn that thing woke up! At least 30% faster. I was impressed. The specs on his saw from factory was 1 less hp them my 362c Stihl. After that muffler it’s gotta be 1-1.5hp more.

You make splitting with a axe look so easy peezy! I have two plumb 32 model axes one with no handle because I am stupid and I used it the wrong way ( I didn't flick it) it was a original handle and it was so comfortable you could feel the history in your hands. And I also have another plumb 32 with a Collins handle that I really don't like. It just does not feel as nice almost to thick for my hands but its also slippery not like my old handle on my other plumb axe. I picked up a Collins double bit today I hope to try it this evening after I give it some love with the file real quick. So my question is where is the best place to buy a new axe handle I tried the local stores and they all have plastic or fiberglass for the most part so I am just gonna order online for a dealer or maybe someone who makes them by hand? I really enjoy collecting axes
@sawsurgeon6 жыл бұрын
Devin Freeland) I recently purchased a batch of ‘hand selected’ handles from ‘House Handle’ online. They were really nice. Out of eight, only one was marginal. Still useable, just not as nice. Reasonable prices as well. Be Blessed!
